THE HOTEL The Palazzina is ideally situated in a 16th-century building directly on Venice's Grand Canal, just minutes from Piazza San Marco and the Rialto Bridge as well as art-world gems such as the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and the Gallerie dell'Accademia. The hotel, designed by Philippe Starck, combines the best of historic and enchanting Venice with the most sophisticated tailor-made service and luxurious surroundings.
MADE BY ORIGINALS In his last years, Emanuele Garosci managed to reshape the way the world looked at luxury with his Palazzina and G-Rough hotels in Venice and Rome, respectively. Before becoming an hotelier, Garosci preferred ventures of a different sort: he raced cars until realizing there were thrills to be reaped in the hospitality industry. Garosci is fondly remembered for the indelible contributions that he made to the luxury hospitality industry, as well as his effervescent personality and charm.
ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN Palazzina is a work of architectural wonder by the world-renowned and multitalented Philippe Starck, his first hotel in Italy. The property’s classical skeleton is preserved through the restoration of a central colonnade and modernized columns throughout the hotel. The interior design is characterized mainly by Venetian traditions of craftsmanship—including mahogany woods and “terrazzo”—as well as contemporary pieces designed or handpicked by Starck.
