Set in the heart of Paris' Golden Triangle, Maison Martin Margiela's first hotel interior uses dramatic illusions and ironic interiors to entice guests to return. All 57 rooms offer state-of-the-art bedding with high-quality linen sheets, duvets in pure goose down, and generous amenities. Seventeen of the rooms and suites belong to the Couture Collection and are decorated with a touch of whimsy that plays with proportion and perception. The lighthearted, attentive service can be experienced throughout at La Table du 8 Restaurant, the bLind Bar, and The Cigar Bar.
MADE BY ORIGINALS
After leaving the ESSEC business school in France with a degree and a wealth of invaluable knowledge, Bernadette Chevallier put her new-found and hard-earned qualifications to use in the hospitality and tourism industries. Chevallier became the president of the ODO property management company, which stands for 'Où Dîne-t-On? – Où Dort-On?' (Where do we eat? – Where do we sleep?). Chevallier answered this question with her creation of La Maison Champs Élysées.
ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN
Architect Danièle Damon renovated the handsome Haussmann-era façade of the hotel’s picturesquely Parisian townhouse. Inside is a display of optically bemusing features, including a black parquet oak floor in one suite and The White Lounge, complete with a woolen carpet imitating a classical French ceiling.
