This was my first stay at an element hotel, and wasn't quite sure what to expect. Check in process was slow, especially since only one agent was working the desk, and there was no SPG plat check-in line. However, front desk staff was nice and was able to upgrade me upon request (although this really should have been automatic).
The suite was well equipped with a small kitchen and living room area, and had a filtered water dispenser. Bathroom was nice and spacious, as well as the bedroom. Furniture was... lacking in the bedroom however. The hotel was only built a year ago and has been kept up fairly well, plenty of outlets everywhere.
Breakfast was great in the morning, lots of interesting options.

I don't understand why others have stated they don't upgrade you based on status level, they certainly did for me. Customer service was very good and the rooms were fairly clean. The rooms have a LOT of lights, which I like. The showers are very good and has enough ventilation. About 15 minute drive to the airport (only about 3-4 miles away).

SPG recognition needs vast improvements. Employees were extremely friendly and the food served in the evening and morning was of great quality. Free drinks provided during the evening was a nice touch.

Purpose of trip was to bring my son back to school at FIU. Great location as it's a straight trip up/down SW 107th. Previous stays at aLoft (adjoining property).
Stayed in Exec suite on 7th (top) floor. Nice room and setup. Unfortunately, I'm a light sleeper and all the Exec suites are on the corner of SW 107th and NW 33rd. Once the morning rush started, I was awake. Would, however, recommend this hotel as that's my own personal issue - my wife slept fine.

As a platinum member, it seems that the front desk staffs are not familiar with the benefits of platinum. They informed me that there is no standard suite available for upgrade (but suites are shown on sale on App). As it was my first time to stay in Element, I contacted the Central SPG Representative for the details, and they helped me about it.

the Staff was excellent at my check in the inform me about all areas in the Hotel and about the different activities.

During my checkout the girl at the front desk said I had a charge to my room for $35 from the bar at the neighboring hotel the Aloft. I was never at the bar on the day of the purchase and the only time I went to the Aloft was to ask for a hand scale at the front desk. I was told I during the checkout I;ld not be charged until they figured out the problem, and was going to be contacted. My card was charged the day after my departure, I have called twice and no answer has been given to me yet. It’s been two weeks and have not received any answers. It is a shame to have issues of this type after such a pleasant stay at your hotel.
