Uncomplicated convenience is what you’ll find at the Four Points by Sheraton Bangkok, Sukhumvit 15. We’re in Bangkok’s trendy Sukhumvit area in entertainment central. Loads of shopping and great nightlife are right on our doorstep. Bangkok actually gets hotter after dark, offering more entertainment options (bars, clubs, discos, shows and more) than any other city in the world, lasting all night long and into the early morning hours. The Business areas of Silom and Sathorn Roads are close by, and we are also within walking distance to the Asok Bangkok sky train station, the fastest way to zip around the city.
There is so much to do in Bangkok! Called the “Venice of the East” due to its elaborate network of canals called klong, transportation in Bangkok was once done mostly by boat. For a different take on the city, take a boat ride down the Chao Phraya River or along a canal and view the floating markets.
Also called the “City of Angels”, Bangkok is home to hundreds of temples or wat, more than any other city in Thailand. The Emerald Buddha is considered the most important temple in Thailand and is located within The Grand Place, Bangkok’s biggest tourist attraction and once the King’s offic and home until 1946. If you like museums, don’t miss checking out South East Asia’s largest museum, The National Museum. Jim Thompson’s House is another must see. Shoppers will love Bangkok. Here you can buy everything from handmade crafts including; silk, porcelain, silver and gold jewellery, unique hill-tribe handicrafts to antiques and artwork. Tailors are a plenty here and can sew up any article of clothing you want, very imexpensively in 24 hours. Bric a brac, knockoffs and everthing else under the sun can also be found here for a pittance.
