Rated 1 out of 5 by Murishnikov This hotel badly needs an update
Paper thin walls, musty carpets, ancient fixtures and surly staff. Great location and lots of potential, but this hotel is badly in need of a major capital investment. Would not stay there again.

Stayed one night. The front desk staff was prompt and courteous. The room was on a Starwood Preferred floor and updated. The common areas on the first floor were dated and a little dumpy looking.

When I arrived I was greeted by front desk attendees that were knew (both of them). I booked with SPG and was assured they had shuttle service to the airport (hence the reason why I booked there) When I asked for wakeup call and the shuttle service I was told they do not offer it. Well sadly I lost it. The compensation at the time was free drinks, ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! I needed a ride to the airport not free drinks. Finally I had to call SPG and complain then finally I got my ride to the airport. I enjoy Four Points and always manage to get the same room. I would recommend this hotel well located, small pool area , food is good nothing amazing.

Rated 3 out of 5 by jada88 Near Universal Studios
Good rates, clean hotel, comfortable bed, The renovation of the hotel is not the highest quality but the rates are good, there is a bus to Universal studios or it is a nice walk for people who can walk about one mile and has easy to cross streets with intersection lights. The dining room had no windows so we chose to eat at one of the nearby restaurants. I wanted to stay in the round building, the view was good. Trolly and buses right outside door. Good location.

On the plus side, the staff was super friendly and helpful. They gave us menus for local restaurants, called taxis, etc. The breakfast buffet was fresh and tasty. The room was spacious and had a large flat screen tv. We appreciated the free Wifi and bottled water.
On the other hand, all of the bedding is white, which made it easy to see a blood stain on the bed spread when we arrived. The down comforter was very cozy, but apparently had a hole in it, so my kids and I woke up to feathers all over the room. If you are a person with allergies, ask in advance if they have some other kind of bedding.
We picked the hotel because it had a free shuttle to Universal Studios (Orlando). However, the shuttles ran infrequently, so you would have to be at the park for almost 8 hours before you could get a shuttle back to the hotel. If you wanted to go to the theme parks on the afternoon you checked in or come home early on the day you left, you would have to pay for a taxi.
They seem to have worked hard to update and upgrade an old hotel. One thing that stands out as old / in need of renovation is the carpet throughout the hallway and restaurant. It isn't unsanitary or unvacuumed. It just has lots of old stains and shows its wear.
The hotel has great people and lots of potential. It just seems to need a little TLC.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mike91 An Amazing Experience Everytime
I frequent this hotel just about every weekend. Every single my needs and even wants are either exceeded or over exceeded. Staff here is very helpful, knowledgeable about surroundings such as restaurants, things to do and nightlife. Jeylyn, the front desk lady is usually the one who greets me at check in. She is so helpful, so polite, and an all over sweet girl to ask anything you may want or need. This previous stay our air was broke, she had mechanics in an out of our room in less than 15 minutes to completely replace the air unit. On top of that, she even gave my friend and I free breakfast at the restaurant downstairs, which is not cheap if you are paying yourself. I was very pleased with her performance and the way she kept us happy. If you notice her checking you in please mention that you read this review and you are happy that she is the one taking care of you. I don;t mean to focus most of this review on her but anytime i had to deal with anything hotel related she is the one who helps me, And she does in the snap of a finger practically. This hotel is more than just conveniently located in Orlando. Right across from wetnwild, 2 blocks from go karts, giant slingshot, my favorite Chinese jade buffet and more. Right by universal and only a 15 min drive to downtown Orlando and 20 at most from kissimme. Book this hotel and prepare to be awed in what orlando and this hotel has to offer.

I stayed at this hotel for three days and was not very satisfied. When we first pulled up to the hotel you could tell it was an older building but I have stayed at some nice older hotels before so we checked in hoping for the best.
After checking in and going up to our room we decided to head out for dinner. I was suprised that the door was difficult to locl behind us. I had to use a good amount of force to get it to shut far enough to lock. After looking closer at the door I noticed that the door jamb looked like someone had chipped away at it to break in at some point. Since the door jamb was broken away, you could see the latch. I asked for another room since it seemed like you could easily pop the door open with a screwdriver or maybe even a car key.
When we reached our new room the first thing we checked was the lock and it seemed ok. Unfortuntely the new room did not have sheers in the windows like our first room did so to get natural light in the room in the morning we had our window wide open.
During the night I kept getting up to turn up the air conditioner since I was getting hot. As soon as I would get up it seemed like it kicked on. After doing this several times I started thinking that either I was on Candid Camera or the thermostat was on a motion sensor. I inquired the next day and I found out I was not on Candid Camera and the thermostat was on a motion sensor to save energy. This did not make any sense to me why a hotel room (in Florida) would have a motion sensor on the thermostat.
I would also like to point out that the room walls are thin. I was awoken a couple of time by some interesting noises from the room next door that made me glad my kids were not with me. It would have been difficult to explain these noises to our younger kids.
The hotel just seemed old and run down. The rooms and hallways had a older musty/smokey smell. The ice machine on our floor was broken. I also overheard one of the workers in the lobby expressing concern on having enough rooms available due to the amount of rooms needing repairs.
On a positive note. The location is good for those going to Universal and Wet n Wild and the workers were friendly.
I will not stay at this hotel again nor would I suggest it to anyone until they spend some money to get it in better shape.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Steve1947 Birthday overnight stay
The past 5-10 years we have travelled somewhere for my wife's birthday (generally one night). We just moved to FL from MI. We thought going to Orlando and Universal's Blue Man show would be fun. We found the Four Points to be an excellent choice. To be honest, we only took advantage of the room and the exercise room. We enjoyed our stay.

We got an incredible rate at this hotel in the off season. It is well located, spotless and offers a wonderful breakfast buffet (included in our rate). The room was spacious, but, in my opinion, has a major flaw. The only mirrors in the room are located in the bathroom, so that if one person is in there-and does not wish to be disturbed-there is no mirror in the room. As two person, trying to get ready for a wedding, it was hard to manage this.sounds picky, but think about it....the front desk could use more staff..one person at a front desk is insufficient to handle check-ins, telephones, and questions. That being said..this was a very pleasant stay, well worth the money!

Rated 1 out of 5 by UniversalStudiosVisitor Poor Customer Service and Housekeeping
Housekeeping was not done on any of the 3 days of our stay.
Additionally, on another night, the battery of our door died & we were locked out of our room for 45min. Once in our room, we were told to leave the door open until it was repaired, which didn't happen for an additional hour and a half, and only was fixed after multiple calls & walks down to the front desk. Then, as an apology, a hotel representative brought up complimentary wine, but it was an hour after I told the front desk we were going to bed... overall, poor service at the front desk & a rude security guard really dampened our experience.
Luckily, management did compensate us with points to use towards a future stay, which helped make up for it. We were bothered multiple times, however, regarding the incident & resolving it, so for 2 days it became a source of stress.

Rated 4 out of 5 by TKnight Room comfor could have been maked "good"
The Air-Con in the room (1912) sounded like a helicopter taking off with a loud "drone and rattle" noise - had to switch off to get any sleep - Change of room offered on final the night - declined, as happy with hotel and Team
A little whinge - On Bar-B-Q night, even though I had purchased a cocktail, an additional beer was declined because my Wife was required to attend the Bar in person. I am English and would not instruct my Lady to go to a bar just to order a free drink. We left the BBQ. a little miffed. A Gentleman would understand this protocol stance..

I stay at this hotel so much that one of the staff asked, "Do you work here?". The reason I choose Sheraton on International Drive is hands down the friendly service . Keep up the great job.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Elmo1993 This hotel really needs improvements!
I will never stay at this hotel again. The air conditioner was extremely noisy and leaked all over the carpet, the bathroom fan vent dripped, there was mold on the ceiling and around the bathtub. Room service was a joke. You order a burger well done and they send you a rare one then take over an hour to make it right. The shuttle service to Universal was horrible. There were 4 pick up times and 4 return times that are not convenient to traveling with children. I had to take a taxi to and from the park at $8 each way. It would have been cheaper to rent a car and pay to park. I reserved a king room and was given a double. Overall, this was a really terrible experience.

New sleeping rooms interior, beds need thick mattress topper, bathrooms need overhaul can be spotty with grout clean and free of mildew. Staff needs to use a call method to summon staff to aid front desk when needed. Espresso machine is powdered and disgusting. Staff is very friendly. Arteneka always solves my concerns with a smile and urgency. Recently hotel changed soap to a eco biodegradable style that does not lather and there was no shower gel. Big miss if you change soap and don't try yourself. No way any tester would sign off on this cardboard soap. I like staying here due to the location to my business office.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Campos64 Definitely Staying Here Again
The Four Points by Sheraton met and exceeded our expectations. So much so that this is the first hotel review I have ever written. Every attempt at making us comfortable and welcomed was made. The staff from the front desk to Management was wonderful. One example of this is... I left the restaurant with three drinks in my hand, being on the 20th floor I needed my card to get the elevator moving, not only did I have one hotel employee but 3 hotel employees jumping to help me onto and up the elevator. Thanks for making our experience a great one. We will be staying at the Four Points for all of our trips to Orlando, FL.

upon arrival a 1/2 naked man was loitering in unsecured parking lot. Lobby foul smell, room very strong foul smell. New room a faint foul smell. Lobby smell corrected next day. Police pick-up truck parked in front of main entrance remainder of stay. Elevators only work with insertion of room key.

This was the perfect stay for us. It is close to everything in Orlando-- great access to airport and other big attractions. The quality was wonderful also. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. The reception was fast and smooth. We arrived late and didn't want to venture out to dinner so we ordered Room Service---it couldn't have been more perfect. I had a fabulous Greek Salad and my daughter devoured a Creme Brulee---excellent food at a great price. Beds were super comfortable, big rooms and large bath--both very clean. Breakfast the next day at the restaurant was a terrific spread. I will return most definitely!

Had small issue, but my fault for not calling down. I was in room 1803, in 1801 was a girl, maybe 12 and 3 other girls, not sure if in same room. From 8pm Sat. night they ran up & down halls, giggling, slamming doors so hard my room shook. It was early so didn't say anything. Went to bed around 11 with migrane headache, at 12:04 they were screaming up & down again. Where were their parents.
I didn't call just because I was so sick & it finally stopped. Never hadd anything like this before. Always enjoy the "Quiet" of your hotel. Again, my fault for not calling, just can't believe there were no other complaints.

21st floor smells like smoke & I am allergic to smoke. When room doors shut it sound like people are slamming doors. Due to kids allowed to stay on top floors, it is impossible to get any sleep/rest. This hotel needs to consider having dedicated floors for business travelers and lower floors for the party/pleasure crowd. I checked out early and found a hotel with a quiet floor. I will not return

Rated 2 out of 5 by RChang42 Fell Below My Expectations
I'm not asking for a lot when booking a four points hotel, but this one failed to meet even the basic requirements of a hotel service and sanitation. Below are the things wrong.
1) Tub had soap scum and hair upon arrival (no big deal, housekeeping oversight).
2) 1st phone call to have housekeeping clean the tub was ignored.
3) 2nd phone call to have housekeeping clean the tub was responsive. Both the front desk and housekeeping promised to let the "manager" know of the problem. No manager follow up.
4) Phone call to alert them of excessive noise at night was once again IGNORED.
Both me and my wife are SPG Gold members, and were extremely disappointed at this establishment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Brotis1245 Hotel is a fine, affordable place to stay
We have enjoyed the features and the comfort of our hotel room. The bed was comfortable and our room was always kept clean.
The only nit-picky issues I had were:
1. No microwave or refrigerator - Food costs are high and would like to rely on purchasing frozen foods than dining out a lot.
2. Internet service were poor - I enjoy complimentary wifi but I felt that they could at least boost the service on it. Then again, it is Florida so it's understandable.
Other than that the services and facilities were great. I would consider coming back again.
Something that I would like to point out and loved: Hotel has an arcade game - Pump It Up: Exceed 2 that I would consider on purchasing. :D

Rated 4 out of 5 by LENandVIKI Great location for Universal
My wife and I live in Florida but have not gone to Universal before. We are members of the Starwood group so I looked for hotels closest to Universal. We could not have found a more convenient location. It was less than 5 min. each way. The hotel is old but the rooms have been renovated and we found them to be very nice. I found the manager in the lobby almost every time I was in it and he was very helpful with giving me directions to local businesses. It is not a five star hotel but it more than met our needs and we had a terrific time while staying there with no complaints about the hotel or staff.

Rated 4 out of 5 by PapaGeoff Decent Hotel
We stayed here for one night on a weekend trip to Universal Studios. It was close to the park, but claiming walking distance might be a stretch. The room was clean, and nice. The TV was quite large.
We did have one wrinkle. I booked a king-bed via Travelocity and when I arrived they said that my reservation was for a queen and that there were no king-sized beds available. I showed them my confirmation from Travelocity and suddenly a King-sized bed "opened up." We were happy with the room, it was on the 20th floor and we had a great view of the parks.
Aside from that, the Red Lobster across the street had decent food, but a crummy bar and the breakfast buffet in the hotel restaurant was great!
