Rated 2 out of 5 by Dated hotel with minimal benefits Hotel is really dated and in need of a makeover. Even as a Four Points, it falls very far from the other Four Points hotels in the region. Stayed at this hotel as I thought I would be able to enjoy some of the SPG benefits. Wrong choice. There were almost no benefits for a SPG member. The only benefit we got were 3 cans of beverages and a pack of sweets. When we were at other SPG locations, we were allowed complimentary access to print documents. Hence, we thought we could do so as well as there were no instructions given by the staff. However, after printing our travel documents and upon checking out, we were told that we had to pay. Even though the amount is not material, I was quite disappointed at the way this was handled. There is nothing to recommend about this hotel. It is basically more of a BnB than anything else. I would really recommend a local hotel in Taipei which offers much better service and benefits for the same price. April 25, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by This hotel has fantastic fitness facilities The most outstanding feature of this hotel other than the staff is the fitness facilities. The workout equipment is fairly standard but the fitness center also has a steam room, sauna and whirlpool, facilities that any five-star hotel would be proud to have! The hotel is located in a suburb which means it takes some effort to get to the center of the city. Taxis are readily available however and fares are relatively inexpensive. Most taxi drivers speak no English but the hotel staff communicates your destination to them. The hotel offers tours but the tour company does not come to the hotel and you must get to a downtown hotel on your own to pick up a tour. The hotel is a short taxi ride from the nearest metro station. The metro was very easy to use and is the fastest and cheapest way to get downtown. Getting to the hotel from the airport is easy as there is a bus that drops you about a block from the hotel. The bus costs about 1/10th of the fare for a taxi. The rooms and amenities are typical of an Asian Four Points hotel. February 15, 2016

Rated 5 out of 5 by excellent stay attentive, wonderful service! the front desk - Vera and Stacy, the entire staff actually are just wonderful and friendly. they were very welcoming from check in to check out making sure our needs were accommodated, especially traveling with 3 young children. they were very helpful, patient, and provided information we needed to get through our day to enjoy the sites of Taipei, especially in getting directions to our church. the facility is clean and location is very accessible to all the sites in taipei as it is very close to MRT and taxis are very easy to get. so, for great hospitality with easy access to tourist sites, this place should be on your list to stay. Rated 5 out of 5 by Second Stay This hotel is a great value. It has excellent facilities at a reasonable cost. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. The proximity to the Metro/Subway means that one can be in the center of Taipei in less than 20 minutes. The lounge and the restaurant both provide an excellent variety of choices. December 16, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by One of my worst experiences for Starwoods brand Ok, after reading a couple of good reports here about this place I've decided to give it a try. And I have to say it's the biggest regret I've made about a SPG property. First off, there are absolutely no recognition of my Platinum status. Then, I was denied late check-out simply because "we are full tomorrow and need the room, sorry." Upon repeated request she reluctantly gave me 1 p.m. check-out.... Second, the room they assigned smells like toilet, literally. Even the bellboy that came with me said "wow, this room stinks". He was nice enough to ask me to stay and he'll run down to get me a new room, got reassigned to another room. Third, the new room, the toilet doesn't work... of course..... Fourth, hot water... it took forever for shower to provide hot water.... Fifth, the internet disconnects every so often makes it impossible to do work online. Finally, the Red Restaurant, the dishes are all blend. Did their salt lost taste because of lack of business? At Friday night eating time there are only 2 tables, now I know why. All in all, I would NOT recommend this hotel. Please do yourself a favor and stay away. I am so glad I only booked one night here to try it out and not have stayed any longer. December 5, 2015
