I am pleased with the Customer Service provided by Front Desk Staff. They are very helpful to answer questions on where to go to see Taipei. Although the hotel is not in the main city area, hotel front desk staff is able to give directions of how to get to the nearest Subway Station. Taxi service during appointed time to the Subway Station is excellent. One staff by the name of Ms Linda is especially warm and courteous to guests.

The staff is very eager to please the guests, so much it may lead to miscommunication. I noticed that all the personel have to stand up all day. For the great service they offer the guests, they deserve a chair, to rest their legs

Rated 5 out of 5 by QingWest An excellent Business Hotel
The Four Points Zhonghe is a business-class hotel in Zhong He (Chung-Ho) district of Taipei City. It is about 20-40mins southwest of the main city centre by car depending on exactly where you are going and the traffic. The hotel is just off the exit ramp of the Elevated Highway 64. Surprisingly there is minimal noise and our sleep was not disturbed.
It appears that most people use this hotel for business. We used it as a base for our leisure travels out of Taipei city. The surrounding area is mostly low-rise residential and business, with some traditional breakfast cafes. There is a convenience store directly next to the hotel and another about a block away. We did not see any laundromats. The area is definitely not the typical tourist area but we enjoyed walking around and savoring the "authentic" atmosphere. Transport is usually by taxi as the nearest stations are quite far away. There are usually taxis waiting at the lobby and they all used the meter like any other cab we hailed on the road.
The lobby and cafe, as expected in a business hotel, are rather small. The rooms however are spacious and well maintained. So are the bathrooms. We had no issues with the air-conditioning. Furnishings are of a high standard though of an older style. Unfortunately they do not have connecting rooms so we booked multiple rooms. Our rooms looked over the elevated highway which is not as bad as it sounds. On clear days we were able to see Taipei 101. Some corner rooms have a view of the mountains. We were lucky to get an upgrade to one of the two suites available. This was very spacious, with a living room with large sofas with guest toilet, and a bedroom with a very large bathroom with separate shower and toilet stalls, and a full length bathtub.
We were given the option to use our Plat Amenity points for breakfast. We were also given sweets and biscuits in all our rooms. The gym is small but serviceable. We did not patronise the restaurants/cafe. We did not use the internet as we were using local SIM cards.
The staff are very pleasant and accomodating. We had no issues whatsoever. Despite the hotel being here since 2002 it seems taxi drivers are still not familiar with it. We needed to tell them it was in Zhonghe district and was off the ramp from the highway. Only a small inconvenience but always carry the name card of the hotel especially if you don't speak mandarin. We also noticed a few signs about renovations so perhaps the hotel is having a redo soon.
So would we stay again? A qualified yes. For tourists, it is definitely off the beaten track. It is one of the more affordable SPG options though, and the surrounding area may give you a more authentic experience.

I have stayed at this hotel for at least 30 times during 2012. I’ve had wonderful stays despite the fact that I found the hotel's parking to be a constant problem during the weekends. It’s a great hotel after all. They’ve always setup my room with my preference. The staffs are always friendly. Air conditioning seems to be a real problem at this hotel during my stays. Its either too cold or to warm, also its very humid inside the hotel rooms. And wireless connections are always bad on both ends of the hotel. Front desk staffs are superb! Upgrades only happened once during all my stays at this hotel and that it’s kind of pathetic for a hotel that I stay at at least 30 times per year.

This is my first time travelling in Taipei and staying at this hotel too.
1. The hotel room is clean.
2. Very friendly and helpful staff.
3. Nearby convenience stores.
4. Free shuttle service to the nearest Metro station at 11:00 & 18:00.
5. The bed is so comfortable.
1. Far away from Metro station.
2. Quite far from the local food stalls.
3. The hotel building, the room and the lift is quite small.
4. The hotel car park is full when event happens.
1. The hotel management should know the hotel is quite far from Metro station and the guests could reach to it by only taking bus or cab, so the shuttle service is very important. I suggest the hotel to have it own transport like small van or MPV so they can provide more frequent service to/from the Metro station.

Clean and tidy , staffs are helpful most of the time. It is not as fancy as W hotel but value for money. Good choice for business or family traveling
You can get local fresh market and hawker place in 5 mins walk but nothing else. It is a bit far from downtown. Around 30 mins taxi ride
Transportion - Bus to airport in at the hotel entrance . You need to be careful if you need to call the taxi . This is the only thing i am getting disappointed with staffs in four points. The hotel staff set a regulation that the taxi charge to hotel is not according to the meter and they will take back 200 TWD rebate from taxi driver. Taxi driver will charge you for 1100 TWD while the meter will only charge you for 900TWD.
The trick is dont get a taxi through hotel staff if you want to save that 200 TWD

I stayed their over 30 nights and it is nothing but good guest experience to my business travel.
The staff in Red Restaurant are very nice. Lisa, who is a manager took care of my special needs such as I don't eat pork or beef.
They served special fruits upon my request, and she went out of her ways to comfort me during my stay and their staff as well.
The only thing is lacking, it is nowhere near train station, and they do not offer free shuttle except one time to train station.
Additionally, I hope the front desk should be more knowledgeable about how to go to attractions in Taipei, since they have no shuttle and the property is far from main city.
The Evening buffet is Chinese, and wish they have more fusion style.
This is good for business travelers, but may not be best for tourist due to far distance from the city, and hotel does not have complimentary shuttle services on a demand.

I stayed in this hotel for 6 nights, and I found I woke up at nights many times due to air-con unfunctioning.
