Rated 5 out of 5 by Petaluma99 Great Property in Ideal Location
What's with the negative reviews? My wife and I have stayed at over 400 Starwood properties around the world and loved our stay here in Asheville - and that's with the temperatures in the 20's. Granted, we had a great price of $68/night with breakfast included, but the walking to everything location, free parking, and friendly staff pushes this accomodation to the top of the list. Our room was clean, the front desk was helpful, Nicole at breakfast offered daily suggestions on places to go, as and everything downtown was a two-minute walk. Can't wait to return when the weather is more agreeable!

Rated 5 out of 5 by sloch Ideal downtown location and pet Friendly. Wonderful Staff
We stay here often and LOVE this property! The rooms are clean and comfortable and rates are excellent for downtown Asheville. The property is an easy walk to downtown restaurants and a close drive to The Blue Ridge Parkway and Biltmore Estate. Friendly and knowledgable staff are anxious to help you explore Asheville. Shannon, the guest service manager, does an excellent job of catering to the SPG guests. The property is also pet friendly with lots of green space. The smart choice for your stay in Asheville Area!!

Definitely for sleeping, love how the rooms are designed. My two-year-old loved the glass shower. The rooms are nice, but not for lounging.

Rated 4 out of 5 by AWild0414 Perfect base for your Asheville getaway
From the moment we (my dog and me) checked in, we were treated like family by the friendly staff. The hotel is older, so a bit warn, but meets the needs perfectly for an Asheville get away. Centrally located, you can literally walk the entire city and not have to worry about parking for a vehicle. The Chop House is a nice place to unwind after a long day, and the staff there are above par as well. If you're looking for a 4 star property, this isn't it. But if you're looking for a clean, comfortable, pet friendly place to rest your head, this is it!

Great hotel that will be even better after lobby is renovated. Love the friendly, helpful staff. Very quiet, even though it is on the interstate.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Campos64 Overall great value in downtown Ashville !
The location is ideal for touring downtown Ashville. Overall stay was good: free parking, clean, quiet, & comfortable room, and nice lobby and exercise room. The evening stall was friendly & helpful, and I can't praise the the morning staff enough who went out of their way to provide for my spouse who was unfortunately suffering from a migrane.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Zcip In the Heart of Everything Asheville
This hotel is in walking distance from everything in downtown Asheville. No matter where in downtown you want to be, you can be there in 5 minutes.
Lobby had construction going on, so there wasn't much to enjoy there. The rooms were recently updated in the past few years, so they were nice for a Four Points hotel and plenty comfortable.
Every room is the same at this hotel so there isn't much in the way of starwood recognition.
Overall its a decent place to rest, but do not expect anything glamorous.

Rated 3 out of 5 by jechho Good value, room for improvement
First of all, if you are looking for something close to Asheville downtown at a reasonable price, this hotel is an ideal pick. We snagged a decent cash and points rate, and redeeming starpoints at this property seems to be a good deal.
The room itself was clean and pretty modern. The bedding was also of good quality.
However, we encountered a few minuses at this property.
First of all: Noise. Even though we had secured a room on the top floor not facing the highway, the windows AND the roomdoor out to the hall were both so thin that they almost did not block out any noise at all. When the neighboors were coming and going, slamming their doors, it was almost as they were IN the room. And we could easily hear the icemachine, even though it was a way down the hall.
Second: This hotel is pet-friendly. For some this is a pro, but not for my partner who were awoken by a dog barkin at 7am. I thought that the spg floor had no pet rooms (I had asked for that too), but I seemed to be wrong.
Thirdly: We arrived at 1pm, and asked when the room was ready. Was told one hour. At 230pm the room was not ready. We sat outside waiting and waiting, and finally at 330pm the room was ready. Why not tell us at 1 pm that this would take about three - and not one - hours? We know the rule of check-in time, so instead of over-promising, stick with a neutral estimate of check-in time.
