Rated 4 out of 5 by maksa Overall good
My stay was overall good. There are few things that need attention. Internet should be accessible free in room as well, what difference does it make whether you in the lobby or in your room, you still using it. I was asked to pay AED100 for a Preferred room although the reservation asked AED100 for a junior suite. I could not take the suite as i needed two beds. Spg members are normally offered these rooms at no extra charge as it is exactly the same as standard besides couple extra amenities.

There was never a day, where i could complain about or post any negative comments about this Hotel.
Right from the Bell boys, Receptionist ,Security, etc etc ..the list just goes on, who made our stay most memorable which we will always remember. It was so good that we even extended our stay for an additional 3 nights. Mr Anthony, Wasim, Chris, Deverat, Ina,Mr Gregor, the names who we recall...... made our stay comfortable and memorable.
Breakfast was excellent with a variety of choices.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hims1981 Just a great Hotel.
Stayed in this hotel end of March 2013. All I can say is i was more then please with the location away from the main city hassle and bustle, yet so close to travel there. The staff was the best bit for me, they are awesome, very friendly and always made an effort to strike a conversation. rooms and hotel itself is more then I had expected for the cheaper price range for a hotel in Dubai. overall a fantastic hotel and I will definitely be staying here again when I return to Dubai.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Veronique50 Great Hotel... and stay
You have done an excellent move with the "Go Green" program.
In my point of view, you can go further: with the Go gReen prog you do not change bedsheets for 3 days.
And do you think if you ask the customers (all customers) to accept to change the linnens every second or third day.
As I put it myself, who change the bed sheets at home every day?? I really doubt it. My wife does it once a week or 3 times / 15 days...
All of us nowadays are aware of any environment / ecology issue and you have to stress this point. And I am pretty sure that customers will accept.
On the other hand, make sure that "go Green" prog does not mean DND. House keeping staff have to go into the romms and check...
once more and as I told the guys there, in your hotel "I feel home away from home".
keep up the good team work
Thanks a lot

Rated 3 out of 5 by Laocowboy2 Standards are Slipping
I have stayed at this hotel many times and despite the defects in facilities (no Wi-Fi in rooms so tablets cannot be used, tired gym with no individual videos, tired pool) price and location suited me. The main plus of the hotel was the staff - friendly and always trying to please. Unfortunately standards appear to be slipping - with the laundry being the latest example. My last stay cost me a suit and a pair of trousers due to an apparent inability to understand 'dry c;eaning'

Rated 5 out of 5 by Gary14 Excellent Hotel
This has to be one of the best hotels we have stayed at. From the the time we stepped out of the taxi on arrival until departure we found every single staff member to be friendly and helpful, and always with a smile. All aspects of the hotel were clean and first rate. Our room was large and very comfortable with everything you could require. The food at breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice in a smart dinning area.
I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone.

Having to pay for a plug adapter upon arrival was nonsense. no restaurants near the hotel in fact nothing even close so your stuck paying for food there. would not give me a late checkout since my flight did not leave until after midnight so ended up spending 12 hours at the airport. So much for helping customers. Will not stay there again for sure. Room lacked a lot also. TV kept going out and come back on with volume full blast. ended up unplugging to sleep.

. This was my first stay at this property. I chose it because I could easily reach it from the airport by Metro. Getting to Al Fahidi Station (closest to the hotel) was quick although it does require a transfer to the Green Line at Bur Juman, and the walk from the station with 2 bags took about 10 minutes. The front desk staff recognized my platinum status and gave me a well-appointed, extremely spacious room. As I was only there over night, I didn't really have a chance to sample any of the facilities except the restaurant, which offered an ample breakfast with sufficient variety. Although the hotel is in a mostly residential neighborhood, its proximity to the Metro and it's shuttle service to Dubai Mall make it an inviting and well-situated choice for those in Dubai for business or leisure. I'd definitely stay again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by sophie3 GOOD ROOMS BUT UNHELPFUL STAFF
I have stayed in many hotels from the Starwood group and I have always been impressed until now. Upon arrival our room was not ready, which was fine as we were a little early, however after 3pm (the check in time) we were advised that we could not check in because the hotel was full the previous night and they had allowed late check out! This was eventually resolved with the manager of the hotel however the service of the general staff dealing with my reservation was very poor. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and wifi was included in my rate so I was pleased with this. The pool looked nothing like the picture and the lack of sunbeds was dissapointing. The breakfast was average. It is a shame this Sheraton does not compare to any others I have stayed in. The service/food in the restaurant inside the hotel was excellent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by VoyageinUAE Great rooms, comfortable room, clean and good service
We stayed in this hotel for 1 night, it was a good experience, the room was spacious, comfortable and clean. I travel a lot and I can easily say that this room has everything you need for a short stay, the staff were nice and friendly. I actually had an issue with the internet and the front desk employee was very helpful. If something needs an improvement in the room is the shower itself, very old and not very functional (room 610) otherwise it was all good.

Rated 3 out of 5 by HoratioCaine Nice hotel, poor details.
It's a very nice hotel but some details fail. The room is excelent, there's a relaxing swimming pool at the top, the breakfast, restaurant and bar are nice.
Since it's location is far from the beach, I consider this hotel a business hotel. That being said, I can't understand how is it possible to charge the internet in bedroom and charge it so expensive. The internet at the lobby is free but extremely poor. A chat on Skype is a test to your patience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JanetW51 Wonderful stay
Our family of 4 stayed in two connecting rooms. The rooms were spacious and elegant, with comfortable beds and a lovely bathrooms. We ate breakfast every day in the reasonably priced lobby cafe and purchased water and other items at the supermarket around the corner. Reception and concierge staff were always smiling and helpful. Nothing much to do around the hotel, but it is a manageable taxi ride to anywhere in Dubai. We very much enjoyed our stay!

We were very satisfied with our stay. Only one thing to highlight is the taxi service provided by hotel. I found the driver is not honest. Before we boarded the hotel taxi, we asked the charges to our destination, driver told us the charge was Dirham 10. However, when we reached the place, he told us is 30 Dirham. We feel very disappointed. One of my suggestion to all readers, try your best not to take hotel taxi, there are many taxi out there.

My wife and I really enjoyed our 7 night stay at the Sheraton 4 point downtown dubai.
The safety, service and comfort was excellent.
We have no hesitation in fully recommending this establishment to anyone. Looking forward to our next visit. Special thanks goes out to Rahul the lady at the front desk and the lady at the breakfast checking. Not forgetting all the other members of staff

I am an SPG member with Platinum statues so I usually get upgraded every time I stay in this hotel. But, what seems strange to me is the more I stayed there, I get the worst upgrades. I remember the first time I stayed there I was treated to an amazing upgrade. So, I thought, here they know how to treat the Platinum members. This wasn't the case (at least in terms of the upgrade. In everything else they treated me in an amazing way).

We were not upgraded to a Suite as a Platinum guest but we always enjoy the rooms at this hotel. We have stayed here 4 times over the past 3 years. The staff is always friendly. We were greeted with special gifts that we could use for room service or at the dining facilities in the hotel that included wine, fruit, and other items that we could select from. The hotel is very clean, and we have never had a bad experience here.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Mitch12345 Pleasant but nothing outstanding
I arrived and asked for a room w view and away from elevators for noise. Was told all views were near elevators so given a room next to service elevator facing into central courtyard. Also told you don't get points if you book via agent. Not really sure what the point of SPG membership in that case. Pretty silly program.
Room was pleasant enough nothing special. Certainly clean and comfortable. Pool was small and plain.

Staff were unable/ unwilling to answer simple queries about Dubai. Staff also unwilling to assist with difficulties in accessing free wi-fi, despite a confusing access process. Staff also unaware that booking was already paid for. Staff did not inform us that room was ready for check in, despite us being on site waiting for room.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Lindylu17 Comfort and convenience
Walking distance to Burjuman Mall (although half of it is still under construction), historic places, good local shopping, transport and restaurants. A great downtown city location.
A friendly greeting upon arrival at reception was lacking. She was very abrupt, but efficient, and it was less than I expected - compared to other SPG hotels. The concierge were knowledgeable and obliging.
The restaurant took longer than expected with our lunch - the restaurant was almost deserted. Dinner was a much better service, but it was an Italian buffet. I really liked the Express Breakfast-to-go option (for early flyers like myself)!
The room was spacious and clean... the bed was luxurious and difficult to leave. The storage/table space was excellent. The only thing that let the room down was the really dirty windows.
Hotel driver was knowledgeable, friendly and professional.
I would definitely recommend to others.

Good hotel except for some irritants like:
- free wifi is only in public areas like lobby and when there are lots of guests, bandwidth is constrained and very slow
- During check out time of 12 noon, a whole bunch of guests line up but only 1 staff is checking you out...takes ages ! Hotel must identify peak check in / Check out periods and beef up staff during this time.

Rated 2 out of 5 by valerie38 this hotel needs to be more wellcoming
Hotel is unpersonal and not wellcoming, staff at reception are not friendly (with the exception of a blong english lady who solves our problem left unsolved with the other members of staff). Swimming pool is small, water is dirty and the overall area not confortable. Room are OK - good place if you do not need to relax at the hotel - lot of people going in and out.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Valentines Spacious room, bed is comfortable, but toilet facility is unacceptable
The room is spacious and the bed is very comfortable. The breakfast offered at the restaurant is very nice and provides a good variety of food. But the toilet facility is unacceptable. The flush water of the toilet could not run away smoothly and blocked four times. I stayed in this hotel for four nights and I requested to fix the flush water issue for four times!

Good hotel in a good location. Staff is helpful and courteous.. Rooms are big and well kept.. But a few things are missing for a fivestar hotel standard with a slightly premium pricing ...
There is no WIFI available in the room, No slippers .. No bathrobes.. The quality of the breakfast spread needs to improve..Try to include some Indian items in the buffet..

Rated 3 out of 5 by Laocowboy2 Reliable Value for Money
This has become my default hotel of choice when visiting Dubai based on the combination of location and value. As on my other stays this year, the experience was pleasant although my use of facilities was minimal as I was in town only for the rugby sevens. Some slippage in quality of housekepping serice however - possibly because the hotel was full.

Warning: This hotel does NOT have wireless internet, except for at a few couches in the lobby.
Overall, a nice place to stay, staff are friendly. Placement is average, nothing particularly close.
If you don't need to stay connected to the world, it's actually a nice option. If you're there for business and need to do email, etc, do not stay here.

Rated 4 out of 5 by 4points very professional and helpful staff
The hotel definitely meets my expectations: short business trips to UAE, quick check in, helpful staff, large rooms in good condition at fair price.
Hope next time I'll find time for the Fitness Area and the pool. Cannot judge this at this point.
I will definitely utilize this facility more often in the future
thanks for support
