Rated 3 out of 5 by Rooms compact The doors in the rooms bumped into each other. You would have to close the bathroom do to get into the closet. I slept good. Room didn't have a bathtub just a shower. Thought it was over priced for what you got. October 31, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Business Travel - Great Place Stayed at the Four Points in Galveston for business for two nights. The hotel was very clean and nice, staff was wonderful, made sure to upgrade my amenities because my wife is a SPG Platinum member. My room was nice and the beds are comfortable. Got a great nights sleep. Will be staying there again in three weeks. October 28, 2014

Rated 2 out of 5 by Terrible! 2 star at best! Not what I expected for a Sheraton We booked a king-room. Finding the front desk is very confusing. There is no type of security at all, anyone can walk right in. Loud air conditioner kept us up all night. Sink and shower didn't drain. Only one front counter person to answer phones and customers checking in/out. Not a good start to our vacation! October 14, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Ceiling over shower was molded and fell in. Nothing done in regards to this. Got in late on Saturday night, went straight to bed. Got up the next morning and found the shower ceiling was molded and falling down. Chunks were in the tub. Took shower due to time constraints. Notified front desk. Nothing was done. They asked me to take photos and email them. Nothing was done. I used 7,000 points for this room. I am not a happy spg member. September 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by The staff was outstanding I recently stayed at Four points Galveston. Aubrey your team member at the front desk was outstanding, he was very polite when I arrived and took the time to explain to me the attractions in the area. The bartender was great and Ana the housekeeper was fantastic. You should be extremely grateful to have such wonderful team members. September 23, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Terrible Night's Sleep We stayed two nights. The hotel is right across the seawall. The amusement park pier is just a few steps away. There are many restaurants nearby. The Positives: We received a warm welcome. We arrived around 3:30 pm, and our room (406) was ready. We requested an upgrade based on our Gold status, and were told that 406 was the best available room. The King bed is comfortable, and for the level of hotel, one has everything needed for a comfortable stay. The rooms are well-insulated and there is no discernable street noise, by the way. The hotel overall is cheerful, airy, and the Wi-Fi works fine. The Negatives: The A/C unit (under the window) was extremely, extremely noisy. The next morning we requested a change of room, and we were given room 405. Room 405’s A/C was even noisier than 406, but of course this is not obvious until the still of the night. My husband pulled out the A/C filter which was very dirty, and asked housekeeping to wash it. The unit didn’t seem to chill properly; we had the temperature set at 60, and it was still not chilling properly. We didn’t request a change of room. Summary In closing, we had a terrible night’s sleep on account of the noisy A/Cs When we checked out, the woman who had moved us to room 405 the day before, asked how we spent the night and in passing I said, “oh, that A/C unit was even noisier than 406’s”. She sounded genuinely concerned and said that she was going to reduce our nightly rate, for being inconvenienced. I thought that was very caring, considering we did not ask for anything. We did not have any meals at this hotel. I would recommend this hotel if you want to stay near the beach, but the nightly rates are high compared even to The Tremont and The Galvez. We are Starwood members and accumulating points is important to us, that's why we chose this hotel. September 16, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Enjoy the Black Mold with a Side of Scum! My son and daughter-in-law stayed at this hotel last night (9/6/14) on the first day of their honeymoon. Nine months ago I booked a room directly with the hotel's website, and pre-paid for a room which was represented to be 460 Sq.ft Ocean View With Terrace. What they got, in addition to a well polished run-around was: 1) black mold on the ceiling; 2) no working phones; 3) wires protruding from pulled out wall plates; 4) ceiling seam separations; 5) the last guest's hair covered soap; 6) the last several guest's soap scum on the show door, complete with their special messages written in steam and scum; and 7) told that the room was booked through a third party (which it was not) so there was nothing they could do. There is a major multi-level management problem at this hotel. Traveler's beware! September 7, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by MyThird Stay at the Four Points Just to sleep in the beds here would be worth the drive to Galveston. This was my third stay at the hotel and I am always impressed that it is spotless. I will always stay here when I am in Galveston!! September 2, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good Stay, Average Hotel. While Four Points carries the SPG name, they were slightly underwhelming at this hotel. They could be a little better on their greeting when you get to the hotel, people have most likely been traveling for hours and a friendly greeting is a great way to lift your spirit. I booked a special that included breakfast and was told it was only good for one morning.....We would not have ventured out and had a $40 mediocre breakfast if I had been inform correctly by the staff, but I should of double checked. The one breakfast we did have at the hotel was quite yummy even though they got the order wrong... which is amusing to me because they have like 5 options for breakfast! The room did have water damage with mold in some spots and the floor was very wet by the A/C unit. Our view of the water was nice, but I wish the window open just a little so I could hear the waves from my room. It was an average stay at and average hotel in an average city. It was nice that me and my family could get away for two days, but next time we need a break we probably won't travel here. But if you are going to Galveston, this is a good option for overnight accommodations. =-) (recommending this area for the beaches is a stretch, I'm only recommending it because there is a beach that exists.) Rated 5 out of 5 by Great service and staff. Staff is friendly and courteous. Food was good in meetings as well as in the restraurant and bar. Great location to walk to local attractions. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Girl bartender went out of her way to make our stay extra special. August 27, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Room noise The AC unit is too noisy and the room door is hard to pull open. One of the lights burned out while we were there August 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Stay!! i felt like it was my home away from home! Hotel was very clean and staff was very accommodating . I loved hanging at the pool it was very relaxing. Great locations and proximity to thew beach and shopping. August 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by This Hotel is very close to everything. This hotel is in walking distance to the beach, restaurants and bars. The beds are so comfy staff are very friendly. August 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great location This hotel is in the best location if you want to leave the car behind and walk to shopping, entertainment, food, etc... The staff is always very helpful with any of our needs. August 18, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Needs Improvement When I made the reservation online, I had an option to choose check-in time. When I arrived at the agreed to time (1pm) the room was not ready. It appeared to be chaotic at the check-in counter. As I was attempting to check in another unsatisfied customer was talking to the manager. He had arrived at 1am that morning and the room he was given had not been cleaned. When I checked out, the staff member told me there was no charge because of my points balance. I asked them to recheck since I had no rewards credit with Sheraton. They had put us in a different room and not changed the information. No big problem for us, but symptomatic of the overall lack of organization that was evident both times I was at the check-in counter. August 18, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Almost, but not quite I reserved a suite. When I arrived at the hotel, I was told that the cleaning staff was short-handed, so my check-in would be delayed after 3pm. I was then told that my suite would not be available due to a leak. Shortly after that I was then told that my suite was available. The process was annoying and disorganized. The manager acted like she was doing me a favor by putting me in the room that I had reserved in the first place. Once we got to the room, it was nice and clean; however, it had no doorstops (it's developing nice wall holes). It's like they got the room 95% well-constructed and then really sloppy with the last 5%. The blackout blinds weren't quite wide enough either. It had two phones, but no dial tone. They provided a crib... but the sheet was dirty. The pool was much the same. It's a nice sized pool by the beach... but the water was really murky. It seems like overall it could be a very nice hotel, but they just don't quite have enough people or investment to get it there. August 17, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Terrible Customer Service! 1. We waited in the Hotel lobby 3 hours before our room was ready! - the excuse was we are short on staff 2 Early am argument between staff member and management on staffing 3. One (yes only one) member of the staff was friendly My business will only grow if I exceed my customers expectations. If I don't reach this level of customer satisfaction I return their money and give them the product / service for free. By maintaining this high standard my business has grow 10 fold in the last year..... You may want to look at implementing a model that exceeds expectations. I for one will not recommend staying here and will tell friends and family about the experience. I hope you fix things and find a manager that holds staff and him/herself to this level. Rated 1 out of 5 by NASTY We arrived to this hotel after a day at Schlitterbahn and ready for showers and to cool off. When we got there at 4:30 we were told that we would have to wait for 30 minutes until our room was available. Once arriving to our room we were disgusted of the smell and lack of cleanliness. However, we were very tired and ready for showers so we looked past and cleaned up for dinner. We came back from dinner exhausted and instantly fell asleep. The next morning, as we were getting ready for checkout, i pulled the sheets back to double check we weren't leaving anything and found several bloody stains on the sheets of both beds. And it wasn't even like they were stained. The sheets had obviously never been washed. August 11, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Very Disappointed I reserved a 2 queen bed room. When we checked in and went to the room, there was only 1 king bed. Apparently, the hotel had tried to call me earlier, but since I didn't answer the phone, they gave my room away. There were no other rooms available and they only had a single-sized roll away bed. There was no manager on-duty, and the person checking me in did not have the authority to discount the room rate any without a manager. I decided to leave, and was assured my debit card would not be charged. The next day I checked my bank account to find that my debit card had indeed been charged for the full amount of the room! Now I have to wait for someone to call me or e-mail me back to get my money back!! August 10, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Superb Galveston Vacation Spot They exceeded my expectations . Front desk (Aubrey & Evelyn were awesome). AS a SPG Gold they upgraded me to a suite without prompting. The service at the Food and breakfast was awesome. Pool was quite relaxing and the Hotel is so close to the beach and pleasure pier along Seawall blvd. The staff at the hotel were courteous and ever helpful. I will definitely stay with them again. Great atmosphere. August 8, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by The Rooms are nice, No A/C in the Elevator We enjoyed our stay but not having AC in the elevators or the halls is a BIG MINUS! When you think of it, it doesnt sound so bad, like you can handle no air conditioning in the elevator. But when you are coming off the beach or a day at the strand, it becomes uncomfortable really quick. Our room was on the 5th floor and it always seemed like we had a stop on another floor each time we where in the elevator, so that made it worse. I never noticed not having circulating air in an elevator before. But not having it will make you really appreciate it. The halls are just as bad. I think the first floor has air in the hall, but i cannot be certain. Other than that, the room was great. Nice view, cold AC and clean bathrooms. I Also could not find anywhere that states you will be charged a fee inaddition to your you are paying for the room. When I checked in, i was told 30%! i thought that was steep for a security deposiit since they already had my Credit card on file. That extra fee should be clearly stated somewhere. August 5, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Unsatisfactory This was one of the most unsatisfactory stays with an SPG property. The property and facilities overall did not meet the standards for a "Four Points": - I asked for a bottle opener which they did not have - Air conditioner in the room was the very very loud - Overall cleanliness and organization was in a mess The staff did not look experienced at all: - The check-in took over 15 minutes - They told me that I was being put into suites, while it was just a regular room (they could have easily said that suites were sold out and I would have understood) August 4, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good location Carpet in hotel hallways needs to be changed. Free wireless internet does not work well and each morning they did not have coffee prepared. August 4, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Decent Hotel With A Great Location Spent a long weekend here with my family (wife, 3 kids under 6, in-laws). Overall, the facilities are nice. Rooms are clean and decent size. Mini-fridge in the room was a bonus. Pool was okay. Location was fabulous. Right across the street from the water, less than five minute walk to Pleasure Pier... you can't beat it. The staff on the other hand, that needs help. No local knowledge, not helpful, and no recognition of SPG status whatsoever. The comment from the "gentleman" at the front desk, "I don't even know what that is". I literally had to argue for a two-hour late check out when my SPG status promises me four. The one shining light is the wait staff in the restaurant. Those guys were amazing. Now, if the cooks could get the food out faster than an hour (for two omelets, instant oatmeal, and an order of bacon and eggs), the meal would have been great. Overall - good hotel, great location, terrible staff (except for waiters). August 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Staff & Location Our family has stayed at this hotel for the last 3 summers. The rooms are always clean, staff is always friendly & helpful, and they improve the property every year. It is in a great location within walking distance of the beach, Pleasure Pier and several restaurants. Highly recommend this hotel. August 4, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Too much expense for very little bang Very noisy AC, although it did work. Could easily hear room noise from room adjacent to and room above! Shower/tub made for little people. If over 4'6" shower head too short. Bathtub large enough for 4'6" person. Coffee/tea not replenished. Shower and sink faucets not working correctly. Wouldn't stay here again. Poor value. On the bright side -Great location. August 4, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Buyer Beware We picked this hotel for the great location it has to the seawall and pleasure pier. We called directly to the hotel several months in advance to reserve a room. When we called we told them the most import thing to us was a balcony with a seawall view,They told us that was possible but we would have to upgrade to a suite at more expensive rate. We booked the room with confidence this would be what we would receive. The night before we left for our trip we called the hotel to make sure the reservation was confirmed with the seawall balcony, we were assured it was good and they even gave us a room number. When we got to the hotel on Wednesday they told us all balcony rooms were booked through Friday. After becoming a little upset with the situation a balcony room suddenly became available on Thursday. We moved to a balcony room the next two nights but it left us with a really bad impression. That being said location is great, staff was friendly. House keeping went out of their way to make sure you had everything you needed. August 3, 2014
