We came in from out of town at 1am in the morning and apparently I set the wrong reservation date, so I would be having to pay for an additional night. I didn't mind paying for another night, but had some questions regarding the matter. I was given rude responses, and felt like he could care less about the situation. I left to stay elsewhere for the night. I wasn't going to give more of my money where I felt I wasn't wanted. I came back the following day for my original reservation and from then on the staff was alright. The room was comfortable and clean. I come to the city often from out of town. I usually stay with family but I decided on a room this time, but I don't think I would be staying here again, at least not at this location.

Middle of the road hotel, as expected. I got a room upgrade with my platinum status, which was nice. However, I faced the 4 lane road and final approach for landing at the airport, I recommend you try for the other side so hopefully less airplane noise. Heating was a wall unit under the window, had a little difficulty keeping room temp at night. I had a breakfast included package, the billing between the restaurant and the hotel for that was not as smooth as it should be. Had to edit my bill twice to remove the incorrect restaurant charges. Next time I'll just get breakfast at the cracker barrel a block away.

Overall the hotel was okay. I am an SPG member and have been for a few years. I've stayed at all of the brands under Starwood and have found them to be quite nice. This property was not typical of the Starwood properties. It was pretty dated. The furniture was old. The carpet was not so clean and seemed like it was the original carpet from yesteryear. The rooms were very basic.
On a positive note, the lobby area was very nice and peaceful and the café was pretty cool. The location to the airport was perfect without the noise of the airport. Also, there were a few eateries within a few hundred yards so you don't need to drive anywhere for food.
Oh, it's also very close to Churchill Downs. So if you are ever in town for the Derby, then this could be a good place to stay.

Rated 1 out of 5 by flabergasted123 this hotel sucks
the staff is the worst. Called for housekeeping 3 times over 4 hours and on the third call she says "I haven't had a chance to tell them" Unbelievable! Shabby broken furniture shuffed in corners and in ice machine area, bad lights in the room, LOUSY HOTEL and overpriced.

Excellant staff..I had a terrible flight adventure and arrived late at night after everything was closed. The staff was fantastic and went out of their way to help me get to the hotel, get comfortable and ensure I had something to eat..This will always be my first choice when in Louisville..as always..Sheraton hotels have first class service.!

Overall a good experience; however, the snack selections needs to be upgraded from wholesale club snacks. Staff is generally very friendly.
