Rated 3 out of 5 by Alla03 not consistent
The hotel is centrally located but if you want peace and quiet make sure to stay in one of inner rooms. The hotel staff are very friendly but inconsistently so since their mood and attention changes with how much of a party is going on in NOLA that day. Sometimes the requests are done very fast, sometimes they are completely forgotten. Housekeeping also follows the consistency of the party schedule. Sometimes the room would be perfect and sometimes a few toiletries would be forgotten and one of your garbage cans will be full. So nothing major, but small things that frequent travelers would be used to from stay at the SPG properties - consistency.

The staff at this hotel was extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms were also clean, the beds and pillows comfortable, and the showers nice and hot. Plus, the lobby smelled wonderful. There were definitely some disappointments, however. The first was that the website listed refrigerators as available upon request, but that wasn't the case. For the price paid, a fridge in the room seems reasonable. Second, $30 a night for parking is excessive (by far the highest I've paid staying in New Orleans, or anywhere for that matter).. And third, while we had 3 adults staying in the room, we were only provided water and additional towels for 2. I'd recommend this hotel for those traveling for pleasure who wish to stay in the heart of Bourbon, but be aware of the extra costs.

Nice staff, very welcoming and helpful.
Backside of hotel quiet even on crazy noisy nights on Burbon Street.
Comfortable beds, nice clean bathroom with great water pressure, and lots of towels.
Nice big TV!
Very disorganized dining room...food orders take forever and when the food arrives, it may not be exactly what you ordered.
Room had chipped paint, some curtains with holes, and is in need of overall refreshing. Not a place where I wanted to spend any time besides sleeping.

Restaurant staff was inadequate for number of guests and conferences, as well as providing mediocre service.
Bell hops were unavailable to retrieve the bag I'd left, I'd requested a cab for 5:15 and there wasn't one. Finally got a cab at 5:45. Also argued over who would get the tip in front of me.

Hotel location is right on Bourbon Street and my room had a balcony which is great if you are visiting New Orleans for pleasure. For business purposes, the meeting room faced Bourbon Street as did my room, so the noise level needs to be considered.

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your facility. The beds were extremely comfortable and the temperature was very well controlled. I would recommend your hotel to anyone and also do look forward to staying with you again sometime in the near future. The staff was also excellent and made us feel very welcome upon our arrival and also any questions that we had the hotel staff was able to answer them for us. One other thing upon our checking out the front desk thanked us for staying with your hotel. That made a great impression on me. Thank you again for everything and keep up the good work. The hotel staff, security, everyone should be recognized for their hard work and making the guests feel very welcome.

We were quite pleased with our Stay at Four Point Sheraton, NOLA. The front desk staff was very helpful and the room was clean and on par with what I would expect from Four Points.
My ONLY complaint would be that both mornings I stayed there I was woken up by the Cleaning Staff in the hallway. It sounded like there were 8 or 10 of them out there laughing and joking, etc. - at around 8AM. I know that when staying in the French Quarter it is not unusual to hear loud party like sounds in the hall........but did not expect it to be from the staff both days!

Rated 3 out of 5 by PaigeMarie The hotel is perfect location
Four Points is the best for French Quarter location. Our room was very cramped and small compared to the other rooms we had stayed in before. After checking in there were some leftover hairs within the shower/restroom area from previous guests.

Started out good. The valet attendant and bellhop were extremely nice and friendly. The lady at the check-in counter needs to go to customer service training...really badly. Would not stop doing the mail to wait on us. Told us there was a 2nd floor room that we request, but refused to give it to us. The room may have been clean, but the hotel was out of wash cloths. Asked the maid for wash cloths, but were never brought to us. Also, we were overcharged for parking. When I told the counter person, he treated me like I was trying to pull something.

I spent countless hours searching and trying to find the right place to stay. This hotel is literally right on Bourban St, the location is great. The room was very comfortable and clean. I figured since we had a view of the street we would be be up all night because of the street noise. But... We were wrong!! Thankfully. The staff were Great and very helpful. I would say to anyone looking at this as a possible stay... "Don't look any more... Just book it. Thanks

Rated 4 out of 5 by LL1963 No Sleep on Friday
The noise was out of hand on Friday night. I understand that we are in New Orleans but not being able to sleep for 7 hours is a bit ridiculous. I called down for security 3 times and I know others in my group did as well however, when I checked out and said something I was told they only received one call. So that means no one really attempted to stop the noise. It was not just a little noisy they were screaming and yelling. Very disappointed that my trip ended with this expereince and no one would take care of it

Rated 2 out of 5 by Brainmin Dining service needs improvement
I had breakfast only once during my 5 day stay and it was not pleasant. There seems to be enough wait staff but they were slow and failed to provide the bare minimum of appropriate service. The dining room was 1/4 full and order taking was slow, food arrival was slow and when asked to provide cream, ketchup and butter the items were never received.
Housekeeping failed to provide cleaning services on one of the days. When I went down to the front desk to inform them; they were willing to have someone come up to clean but I declined since it was already 6:30 pm.

Had a catered party which food was at front desk for over an hour and I was never informed, their response, Delivery ticket said leave at front desk. Also, check your bill, had a car for one night but charged for two. Manager did compensate 1 night stay for the food issue.

Rated 3 out of 5 by MickeyD77 Not the Best Experience
The front desk staff definitely need customer service training. When we checked in, I asked what rooms were possible and was met with a dead stare and then handed a room key. She acted like I was truly bothering her with a question. The room was small and not up to Starwood standards. Lots of nicks on the door frame and gouges on the wall. We did not get wash clothes on two consecutive days and had to call for them. Bartender was very nice and helpful so not all bad.
I like Starwood but this one needs a lot of help.

The hotel enjoys a fantastic location and the staff attempts to cater to its guests. I was impressed with the condition of the rooms which were clean and comfortable and the house keeping staff was excellent. The problems I encountered began when the outside temperature dropped to well below normal and I awoke to no heat in the room. I called guest services and they said they would send someone to check it. When I returned to to room hours later there was still no heat and was told they would change my room. After packing up to move I was told that the heat was out in the entire hotel and that the chieg engineer was being called in and they gave me a small space heater, Late that afternoon he visited my room and told me the heat was back on but even with setting the temperature to 82 the room was never a comfortable tempertaure. In addition, there seemed to be a problem with the elevators several times during my stay. I think the hotel needs some systems upgrades.

OMG-this place was great. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. They assisted with LOTS of bags and patiently waited while we sorted a lot of things out of our car. We had been on a multi-week roadtrip and this was a chance for us to get out of the car and relax. The room was very clean. The staff recognized we were there to relax and gave us a courtyard room that was quiet. Access to the French Quarter was perfect - walk right out our door. If you want to be in walking distance to all things French Quarter, stay here.

Rated 1 out of 5 by BNicole The Hotel was a Let down.
The staff was extremely friendly and attempted to be accommodating. The first room we were given the room reeked of smoke and me being asthmatic it just was not going to fly. They did give us another room that smelled a lot better but I did not like that the balconies were wrapped all the way around. The only thing that was comfortable about this hotel was the Front Desk staff we actually walked in on the maid service. She was watching Monsters Inc. on our television the bed was half made up and he had to be instructed to take the trash out. All bad!

The hotel was an oasis in the middle of the chaos of bourbon street. Great attitudes of their very well trained staff. My family was able to come and go freely without any problems yet non guest were stopped and turned away every minute. Bye far the best deal in the quarter for a bowl game or just a night on the town.

Room 337, Bourbon St. balcony, Saturday night. The air conditioning was terrible, no lower than 77 degrees until about 4 a.m. Sunday morning. Manager Greg (blue shirt, buzz cut hair) came up to inspect the room and told me that the temp outside was a lot hotter. A maintenance man came up with a blower that helped. Made the initial call early in the evening about 8:00 p.m. Replaced a filter. The room did not cool off. Called again and someone came up a reset the thermostat. The room did not cool off. I can never go back.

This was my second time staying here since Sheraton bought out the previous management company. Both times I have left disappointed. Though eventually corrected after my request, in both stays, I was overcharged the quoted room rate than when I made the reservation. Additionally my bed skirting had noticeable, large dirt stains on it and there was debris/crumbs on the comforter. During my second day, the cleaning crew apparently forgot to leave me any face towels and didn't completely make our bed. Also, don't count on the 4PM check-in time. Full of promises, lacking on producing. Unless you just have to stay on Bourbon Street, I cannot recommend.

I booked this room months in advance paying a higher rate for a "Courtyard Balcony". The balcony opened up to the parking garage. We could not go on the balcony because the exhaust fumes from the cars was so bad. Lights from the parking garage and cars shown in the room all hours of the night, the screech from tires and car horns would wake us up. The carpets were so soiled that the bottom of my feet were black. I will not stay in this hotel again nor would I recommend it for anyone else.

My family joined the folks at Four Points New Orleans for 3 nights over New Year's. We had three rooms with six guests. We were all delighted with the experience.
It is in the heart of the action for Bourbon St! We must have tossed 500 sets of beads from our balcony on New Year's eve..
The rooms were clean, comfortable and small due to the hotel's location. Housekeeping was great and timely and we got two water bottles per day.
Most importantly, the staff is outstanding. The valets run a tight ship. Security was outstanding in light of the crowds. The bellmen and the folks at reception all made us feel at home.
If you want to have a fun time in NOLA, this is the place to go.

Rated 2 out of 5 by travelingdoc42 Not Quite Ready, But My Wife Loved It Anyway.
This hotel only recently became a Sheraton Four Points. It is still being remodeled and staff is not yet very well trained (although they all were very nice and tried hard). Some negatives include: front desk giving incorrect info about Platinum gift (they said 500 points, but only credited me with 125…. Starwood ultimately upped this to 250, saying that is all Four Points locations gives to Platinums); not telling us that our floor hallways would be full of drop cloths, ladders and painters between (& beyond) elevators and our room on check-out day; there were no glasses (plastic or otherwise) in room (maid ultimately brought all she could find –some glass goblets); front desk ok-ing 4 PM checkout but still being bothered several times by manager and maid (even though we had a do not disturb sign on door) asking us when we were checking out (they said the front desk had not entered our late check-out information into computer) on afternoon of check-out; there were no sockets near desk to plug in anything and finally the thermostats was one of those “cool only” type that actually made room even colder if you set it too much above ambient temperature. On the plus side: location is great (on Bourbon Street in middle of French Quarter) and even though we had a balcony (facing side street) the room was acceptably quiet, bed was very comfortable, and the shower power and water temperature were fine. My wife loved the place and the room, finding it “charming” for a boutique type hotel. My advice is to wait until they get their act together and then this should be a fine place
