Rated 4 out of 5 by StarHot Average checkin, met expectations but no wow effect Eatery - Breakfast service => did not see a single staff member smile or be passionate at work - it would make a big difference to guests like me room upgrade much appreciated, great view Valet parking too expensive - slow to have car brought up, been asked to wait because no one could leave desk and duty manager in meeting in the evening?! My wife and I were completely satisfied with the experience and really enjoy spend our first wedding anniversary there. I big thank you to the staff and Brad for the bottle wine and making our stay a pleasant one. The hotel was clean and modern with great service and fabulous staff - who are very friendly, helpful and professional. We had good size room with a king size and river views from the full wall, glass window with blackout blinds. The beds were extremely comfortable with lush linen (would love to know where to get those pillows) The hotel is in a fantastic Location, close to CDB, Queen Street mall and within a 20-minute walk to Southbank. The Breakfast buffet was delicious and the room services meals were even better some of the best food we had during our stay in Brisbane. September 29, 2015

Rated 1 out of 5 by SYSTEM GOT MY RESERVATION WRONG AND I WAS CHARGED EXTRA $50 I reserved (and paid in advance, non-refundable for a night from 3-4/jun/2015 (and I checked it 3 times before completing the transaction). When I got to the hotel the receptionist told me the reservation was for 7-8/jun/2015 and that the best she could do was to offer me a room for $ 50 more. Now obviously the email the system sent automatically was wrong too, so there was nothing I could do to prove there was an error, so I had to pay the difference. BUT, this doesn't make it right, it was an error caused by your systems and the minimum you could do is to provide what was sold and to apologise for the inconvenience. I am 100% sure I booked the right date, because I also booked the flights, not only the hotel. Now if you really want to provide a god service to your customers, you should investigate what happened and correct your systems, because the bug is there just waiting to cause problems for other customers... Rated 4 out of 5 by Improved over the past 12 months One year ago, I scored this hotel very poorly due to my experience. Where are they 12 months on? Much, much better. Staff are credit to the hotel. Check in was smooth, the room was much more comfortable and the shower didn’t leak. This time the hotel was no where near as busy which maybe a significant factor but based on my experience I would have to recommend all to stay here. Their standards and knowledge of procedures and customer services have dramatically risen. Well done to the hotel, management and staff. Only recommendation: Offer bread or dinner rolls during dinner service June 4, 2015
