Rated 3 out of 5 by Very Expensive Food The food in the Hotel is terribly expensive. In both of my stays breakfast was not included and the cost of eating at the restaurant was 20 USD or more. Had to eat outside several times. July 14, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Worst management and customer service Well, let me start by saying, if I have a choice I will never stay here. I have stayed at this hotel for over 60 nights this year so far and they still don’t stop surprising me. Hotel will nickel and dime you for every single thing they could. Extremely cheap management who likes to save every single cent they could. As a platinum member one would expect they would at least honor they membership benefits advertised on SPG website, but you can't expect it from this location. Welcome gift? What gift they choose to save few $ and rather not give their loyal customers anything on arrival. Room upgrade? What upgrade… don’t expect a single thing from this hotel. Only good thing I can say about this place is few god staff members in restaurant, rest is total disaster! If I am so dissatisfied from this location then one would wonder why I kept staying here. Only reason, my employer made me stay here due to corporate policy otherwise I will not stay here even if its for free June 8, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by One the Best staff you will ever encounter Four Points by Sheraton is located in the posh Gulshan 2 area which is the diplomat area of Dhaka with all the different country embassies close by. The entrance is very narrow and its easy to miss if it was not for the lit signage outside. As this hotel is surrounded on all the sides by buildings, there is no view as such. Lobby : It wont be the biggest as you would expect but just spacious enough to seat people and receive guests. Room / Suite : While I stayed in a suite with a kitchenette, my room had all the amenities I could ask for - Electric Water Kettle, Iron Board with Iron, Bath tub and Shower, King size bed, excellent bathroom fixtures, One big screen in the Living Area and another TV screen in the Bedroom. The lighting fixtures were controlled by multiple switches - with each switch working in a combination to give a different lighting. The "night mode" was good which helped switch off everything except for a couple of lights which were dimmed. Food : Eatery, the restaurant on the ground floor with a neat decor and seating arrangement also had a separate seating outside for smokers. The breakfast menu though not very large, had good options from fresh fruits, cereals, omlettes, dosas to baked beans, grilled fish, chicken, sausages, boiled veggies, breads and muffins, pan cakes, french toast, oats to sauted mushrooms and fried rice and noodles. Beverages : Since the liquor license is yet to be acquired, the options are limited. Laundry and Room Service : Very prompt and excellent. Probably the best room service I have witnessed. Staff : The staff was the highlight of the stay. Very courteous and always served with a smile on their faces. I found them extremely helpful. Right from the door man, reception, room service to the eatery staff, each one of them deserves a pat on the back for exemplary service. Pool / Gym: The gym is quite small with 2 treadmills, 2 ellipticals and 1 cycle. There are dumbells and a all-in-one machine for weight training. Fitness instructor was available too. The rooftop pool is quite small and most of the time "out of order" because it turned dusty due to the construction of a roof top restaurant which will be opening up soon. Overall a great place to stay with a calm neighborhood and one of the best staffs you will ever encounter. June 28, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Dhaka stay Good place to stay, brand new, clean, comfortable, good district February 7, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Plenty of Scope of Improvement. Inside Room : room amenities, beds, rooms, decoration, bathroom fixtures, etc is the best I have seen in Bangladesh. Even though the view is pretty BAD.. Lobby : too small for a meeting and so is the Eatery Restaurant. Food : Quality of the food needs a lot of improvement, the food served is no where to close to a SPG hotel. Beverages : Again - since the liquor license is not yet acquired by the Hotel, there is very limited option. Laundry and Room Service : The service is slow and non responsive. Staffs : Very few staff and most of them are not experienced.. basic service guideline is missing..They might serve you the food without cutlery ;) Room Rate : Currently very HIGH for the service you get. Overall a good place and if they can work on their key issues, in no time, they can be the best hotel in town. November 2, 2014
