A well-known summer retreat on the Bohai Sea, Qinhuangdao offers a new perspective in northern China’s Hebei Province. The park is also home to a unique 50-metre Ocean Viewing Corridor, which showcases more than 100 traditional frescos, plus a pavilion where celebrities and tourists alike write inspirational poems and draw pictures. Our surrounding region is home to many iconic temples as well.
Historical stimulation can be found just 40 minutes away at Shanhaiguan. The scenic district has several intriguing tourist spots, including the Shanhai Pass (one of the Great Wall of China’s major passes), First Pass under Heaven, and Old Dragon’s Head. Indulge in some riveting adrenaline entertainment at the Nandaihe International Entertainment Center. Surrounded by the sea and a forest, it features rides, sand skiing, grass skiing, boating, and many other adventure activities. Nandaihe Amusement Park also offers thrilling rides and entertainment.
Discover some of Qinhuangdao’s handicrafts and ornaments made from sea products, including pearls and shells. Artificial amber is another popular local craft. Gourmets should not miss sampling some tantalising seafood. Qinhuangdao is particularly known for its delicious crabs, scallops, pike, whelks, cuttlefish, and sea cucumbers.
