More than 2 hours waiting at the reception for check-in with my wife, 2 year old and 2 month old sons. Finally checked-in after 3:15 pm. Just unacceptable for anyone and especially astonishing for a Platinum member. Reception supervisor offered us a for compensation a 15 min massage voucher which he finally never gave us. It was the worst check-in process I have ever been through in my life.
Resort is outdated. It does not look like any other Le Meridien I have stayed at in the world. I used suite night awards for an upgrade to a Junior Suite and the room looks like a standard room in any other SPG hotel. Beds are old and way too soft. Pillows are a joke. Furniture is estremely run down. Stains in the walls, flooring and carpets somehow filthy. It looks as only the bathrooms have been renovated recently.
By the way the resort is under noisy renovation, fact which is completely hidden in the website.
The is no lounge for Platinum members. I got 2 free drinks from 6 to 7 pm on the beach bar and the waiters did not understand anything about this promotion. I had to talk to 4 or 5 different people to make them understand what I was asking for.
Food is good and the beach is beautiful and clean.
I will definetely not recommend this Le Meridien to anyone and will never come back again myself.
I feel disappointed.

This resort is stunning. We had an amazing holiday. It's classy- without being pretentious.
The beach is amazing. The pools are gorgeous and huge. The staff are so wonderful- special mention to Kaew (hope I'm spelling correct) who was so fun and friendly and great with my daughter!
The restaurants are delicious and the beds super comfy.
I never felt frustrated with the service - which says so much!
Loved this resort and will be back!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by SPGVictim Great and fun resort, good location, great beach.
This is a great hotel, and I was very happy with my stay. The pool is quite large and spacious and spans both sides of the hotel. There are a few restaurants that offer different types of cuisines, from Japanese to BBQ.
The beach is great and more importantly decently sized. If you missed out on Patong beach, this is a good replacement. There are also a lot of activities like snorkeling, basketball, archery, that guests can participate in.
The hotel is also at a good location, close by Patong Beach, shops and restaurants about 5 minutes away. You can grab shuttle, taxi or use the Grab app.
Very happy with the staff and service. There was a mistake with my SPG points, and after one call, the manager fixed it immediately. Only disappointment was I did not get upgraded (Platinum), but that was understandable because the hotel was booked out. There are also a lot of guests, so you may have to go early for a less chaotic breakfast experience or if you want to grab a beach spot/ bench.
But overall, great hotel.

before I arrived to the hotel, I wasn't sure of how many days I will stay. so I booked for 1 night only in advance (day before) but once I arrived I decide to extend my stay for 2 more nights so it will be 3 nights in total. but the receptionist said that i have to leave next morning because the resort is fully booked. I was so surprised of that I even told him that I can change the room or whatever but he insist that i have to leave, at the very same moment I opened my spg app and booked the same room for the rest of my stay. so he was laying, i complained to his boss but nothing happened. they send me a voucher to my room for complimentary photo shoot because it was my honeymoon, i went to redeem it to surprise that one of the receptionist will do it with very armature camera and we must do it in the garden while the resort has it's own beach!!!!! really?! it is a joke. the room was full of small spiders and ants plus the sheets and pillow covers was torn. so is this what i get from my SPG gold membership?!!!. i stayed in westin Bangkok the night before and it was much better.

We just had 28 nights here in junior suite and did not want to leave, we believe this is our 10th visit over 25 years, next year we will be back for 42 days.
A staggering fact in this hotel is that a large proportion of the guests that stay at this hotel are return guests the reasons are simple.
A perfect location with a private beach
Numerous restaurants and bars to choose from.
Large pools and lagoons that are surrounded by the resort.
Comfortable rooms that were recently upgraded
Staff that bend over backwards to help you in any way. A special thank you to Kook our room maid who works tirelessly and does an excellent job
The resort is over 25 years old but has been well maintained kept spotlessly clean and has a lovely warm feel to it.

First time in Phuket and absolutely loved it.
Can't say the same for LM Phuket. Issues with front desk, a change of rooms, refusal of a late check out despite Gold status (I know it's dependent on occupancy, but the place didn't appear full) all made for a disappointing experience. Food was good, but is very expensive here. Go eat at Mama Jin's in Karon for authentic Thai food, short cab ride to there, great prices and delicious.
BUT the beach...oh my! The saving grace of this property! Just stunning. However...not enough to persuade us to stay here again.
