How do I ask for information about Starwood in the GDS?

To access marketing information, policies and procedures for SPG hotels (Aloft®, ElementSM, Four Points® by Sheraton, Westin®, Le Méridien®, Sheraton®, Luxury Collection®, St. Regis®, W® Hotels or Tribute Portfolio) through the various GDS, use the following transactions:

How do I get GDS help?

The Global Rate Support Team will assist you with GDS system questions, GDS reservation questions, common format questions, negotiated rate loading and inquiries.

How do I load my negotiated rates into the GDS?

To load your negotiated rates, please queue (or email) the following information to the Global Rate Support Team:

  • Participating hotel(s)
  • Rates (indicate whether single or double)
  • Effective dates (when the contract expires)
  • Requested GDS access code
  • Pseudo city code/IATA number

The Global Rate Support Team will advise you when the negotiated rate has been loaded into the GDS and confirm the access code.

What type of availability links does SPG have with the GDS?

SPG has the highest level of connectivity available with each of the GDS systems. This ensures your access to real-time room rates and availability directly from the SPG internal reservation system.

More than 24 hours have passed since I booked through the GDS. Why haven't I received my confirmation number?

We can help. Call the Global Rate Support Team to address your issue.

Why do I receive a "UC" (unable to confirm) response when the hotel/product shows as available in the GDS and I'm a seamless participant?

Unfortunately, on rare occasions, rates and rooms can sell out within the few seconds it takes for information to travel from our central reservation system to the GDS.

Where do I find a hotel's contact details?

A hotel's address, main phone number and fax number are identified directly below the name of the hotel at the top of the hotel availability display.

How do I book a non-smoking room?

Non-smoking rooms are identified in the room features section on the hotel availability display. Any room not designated as non-smoking is considered a smoking room. Please note: all Westin hotels and resorts are smoke-free in the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, Australia and Fiji.
