Forming part of the Three Parallel Rivers of Yunnan, Tiger Leap Gorge is another UNESCO World Heritage Site and features some of China’s most diverse and beautiful scenery.
Witness master craftsmen at work at the Baisha Naxi Embroidery Institute in Baisha Village. Previously Lijiang’s political, economic, and cultural center, the village is also home to exquisite Baisha murals. Very near there, the Dongba Cultural Institute in Dayan Town is equally noteworthy. The indigenous homes built from rocks and dried earth in Yuhu Village provide further insight into this captivating civilization, as does Mu Palace, where the Mu Clan of the Naxi people ruled for more than four centuries.
