Situated about halfway between Beijing and Tianjin, Langfang is a prefecture-level city in Hebei Province. The Four Points by Sheraton Langfang, Guan is conveniently located on Kongque Avenue in Gu’an New Town. A sports center, a theater, and corporate offices are just steps away. Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) can be reached by car in 1.5 hours.
Conveying the essence of Chinese culture, Grand Epoch City is a reproduction of the royal part of ancient Beijing and is surrounded by an enormous wall that was modeled on the old Beijing city wall. It is filled with ornate temples, fountains, small winding alleys, expansive ponds, covered walkways, little gazebos, and more. This scenic area also contains a 27-hole golf course that includes a 9-hole night course designed by Australian golfer Peter Thompson.
Immerse yourself in the wonders of Nature Park, which is famous for its rural charm. The green forest is home to more than 40 bird species. Its highlights include an artificial lake and eight life-size white marble elephants. Or take a relaxing soak at Mingtang Hot Spring.
Enjoy a leisurely stroll down New Century Walk Street. Located in the central downtown area and designed with European-style architecture, it is a great shopping destination. Cloisonné is a special local Langfang handicraft, and Quyang County in central Hebei is famous for its Dingzhou creamy-white porcelain. Sample some of the locally-grown pears or walnuts, and savor indigenous Hebei cuisine that is typically based on wheat, mutton, and beans. For a taste of the arts, don’t miss seeing one of Heibei’s traditional forms of Chinese opera, including Hebei Bangzi, Cangzhou Kuaiban Dagu, and the especially popular Pingju.
