Special Conditions

Starwood Preferred Guest Information

As a villa resort, we are unable to offer select SPG® elite member benefits, including upgrades, Suite Night Awards, 4pm late checkouts, and Your24. In addition, due to limited restaurants, bars, and room service, some elite welcome amenities are not available.

Regarding Free Night Awards:

  • Reservations may be booked only within 365 days of arrival.
  • Inventory may be limited, and blackout dates may apply during special events.
  • Starpoints® acquired through conversion of a vacation ownership interest may not be redeemed for Free Night Awards at a Westin or Sheraton Villa Resort.

Pool Slide & Whirlpool Closure: September 19 - 24, 2016

From September 19 through September 24, 2016, the Paradise Pool Slide and whirlpool spa will be closed for maintenance. During this time, the Paradise Pool and Kiddie Pool will remain available. The resorts’ other pools will not be affected. Please contact the hotel for further information.

Golf Course Closures 2016

Throughout the year the Pete Dye and Gary Player Golf Course undergo aerification and overseeding maintenance. The courses will be closed on the following dates:

Aerification Closures:

  • Pete Dye Resort Course: June 20 - June 23
  • Gary Player Signature Course: July 25 - July 28
  • Pete Dye Resort Course: August 15 - August 18

Overseeding Closures:

  • Pete Dye Course: September 19 - October 12
  • Gary Player Signature Course: October 17 - November 9

During this maintenance, one course will remain open. Please contact the hotel for further information.

Golf Course Closures: September 10 - 11, 2016

On September 10 and September 11, 2016, the Gary Player and Pete Dye Golf Courses will be closed for a private event. Please contact the resort for further information.

Alcohol Policy

Alcoholic beverage service is restricted to those 21 years or older.

Age Requirement Policy

Guests must be 21 years or older with photo identification to reserve a room.

Check Cashing Policy

Check cashing services are available to guests who present valid identification. There is a limit of $200.

Early Arrival Policy

We invite you to check in after 4 p.m., and request that you check out before 10 a.m. However, if your arrival or departure does not coincide with our schedule, the Front Desk will be happy to receive your bags while you enjoy the surrounding resort facilities. For your security, keys will only be given to the individual with the reservation unless other arrangements have been made.

Extra Bedding Policy

If you're traveling with little ones, just let us know, and we'll make sure you have the cribs and highchairs you need. Rollaways are subject to a 5 USD per night fee (which is subject to change). Call Starwood toll free at (800) 325-3535 (U.S. & Canada).

Gift Certificate Policy

To redeem your certificate please fax a copy of the certificate along with your name, address, phone number and selected choices to (407) 903-4302 or call 1-800-583-6170 extension #7.

Housekeeping Policy

All nightly rental guests enjoy a complete villa cleaning daily and a sheet change every third day, with the exception of rate plans that do not include service. Before booking your reservation, verify if your rate plan includes daily housekeeping service. Please inform us of any special requirements. Just call us directly at (760) 202-6200 or let us know at time of arrival.

Pet Policy

In order to ensure your stay is as pleasant as possible and to keep your villa clean and comfortable, our policy is that pets are not permitted anywhere on the resort property.  Allow us to assist you in finding one of the many kennels and pet boarding facilities in the area to best serve your needs.

Smoking Policy

Breathe in the fresh air. Our resort is smoke-free. Guests are asked to refrain from smoking in all enclosed public areas, including the villas. The balcony or lanai of the villa, if so equipped, is a designated smoking area. A fee may be charged to cover the expense of restoring the smoke-free environment of our villas. In addition, the resort observes local and state smoking ordinances that may prohibit smoking in some public places.
