Rated 1 out of 5 by DaveyM Nice hotel, but shocking service
The hotel itself is very nice inside, clean and comfortable. But the service level was shocking. The staff were clueless in the restaurant, the food ran out in the buffet several times, and lunch was an even bigger joke, with no food ever arrving after an hour of waiting.

Upon arriving at this hotel we needed help with the luggage. Asked the bellman for help and apparently he was just security, so I asked for a cart. He said go get it yourself. Nice.
Tried to order room service. half the menu they have no intention of actually selling the food. They only have a couple items. Restaurants are terribly run. Service is extremely slow. Housekeeping is barely that. After they serviced the room, the room was still in disarray. Carpets are nasty in the room. This is a disgrace to the Sheraton name. At best a 3 star hotel standard. The staff on average is not very inviting or friendly and very unprofessional. Laughs and talks about their guests thinking that others can't understand them or don't care that they are being rude. Plain awful. just awful.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Jules0821 Rooms are amazing, but staff and facilities are disappointing!
Staff were not in the right attire. I was surprise when I saw what was one of the staff was wearing on the night I checked in. I didn't realize what he was wearing until he went to get another staff who could speak English. I didn't get his name, but I'm sure you would have all the cctv to find out. I am not trying to get anyone into any trouble but I think Sheraton should have a proper conduct. He was wearing his jacket, shirt n tie on top, but then I realize he wasn't tuck in, wearing baggy jeans and fluffy winter shoes. I know it was late at night, but I am sure if it was the cold weather, Sheraton do provide their staff with overcoats and all.
Many of the staff doesn't speak English. And many of the staff brushes me off with just the sentence " I no speak English " and didn't bother to even get someone else to help me. None of the staff paid attention to guest in room dining order card. I have to bring it down to the lobby from my room to front desk. What is the point for paying more when I have to do everything myself?
Not to mention the public facilities. The pool is not even safe to be used by guest. Lose tiles and the clay beneath the pool could easily cut anyone who swims. The men's changing room was disgusting! The shower cubicle especially. It was filthy and has brownish and greenish stains on the floor, walls and shower head. The toilets has stains! Jacuzzi was broken down. And the toilets in the changing room smells terrible! I'm not even sure if he management even notice what was the condition of the men's changing room is like.
Need to extend credits and gratitude towards Front Desk Manager Victor. During my stay, you are the one and only staff that shines and make everything for my old folks who were on this trip with me comfortable. Thank you!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Pseck Only good in the winter
The Fuzhou Sheraton is nice all around. The beds are comfortable, the hotel is beautiful and the lobby has the prettiest chandelier I have seen in a hotel.
Despite it's good looks, I can never get a good night sleep there. The air conditioning is never turned on enough to cool the room down to a temperature that I can comfortably rest. I stay normally once or twice a month and 9 times out of 10, the room will not go below 23 or 24 degrees (when I have it set on 18). So the only time I can count of getting a good night sleep at this hotel is during the colder months when I call the front desk to come open the window.

Rated 3 out of 5 by JLC2012 There is 'hardware' but handicapped 'software'
Stayed few weeks ago, responded to a survey by pointing out front desk needed improvement. Another stay was two weeks ago, was upgraded to executive floor. All was good, the services at the lounge were efficient. But room service was terrible. No breakfast menu in room and had to call the night before. Had all items repeated on the phone. Next morning received non scheduled 'morning call' to be informed the selected juice was not available. Okay, no big deal. Swiss Museli was delivered instead of Bran. The fruit plate was missing. Skimmed milk came in a very small glass. Then, no one answered the room service call. It took 20 mins to get all these sorted out and had to speak speak with three different persons.
It is okay if you are on holiday not when you are in a rush. Just be warned, most of the staff have bad command of English and some of them are quite absent-minded.
'Hardware' in terms of fixture is there, but services definitely need improvement.
Phone set in the bathroom came off. In another experience, the power pack came off the wall and could not be used.
I responded to an 'after-stay' survey and never had an official response. That explains how much the management team really care about their customers!

When I left the hotel to use one of the standby taxi to Fuzhou nan train station. After 5 mins in the taxi. The taxi driver said they were specailly come in to the hotel due to remote area and asked me for RMB 18 as surcharge? I ignored but I was worried at the whole ride.

it was a great hotel in China which is comfort and quite. However the public transportation is turning me down due to hard to call taxi and if you are, an additional fees need to paid like RMB 10-15 to or from Hotel. it is unacceptable.

Although the hotel itself is good, the hotel is too far away from center of city. There is not enough free shuttle bus to the city
