Planned a nice birthday staycation for my wife. After dinner, retired to the room to watch a movie & sip some wine, but the TV toggle to get to the DVD player was not working, nor was the online movie screen. The manager told me they had 232 rooms and they can't be expected to check every one of them. They did agree to try to fix it. So, we had to get dressed and go downstairs to wait in the bar. I was able to get the manager to give us 2 drink tickets while we waited, but it was a heated argument to get to that. When we got back to the room, it was working and we settled in. After an hour, it stopped working again. I called the front desk and was told that the sales manager was working with a customer and would call me back. They never called back!! We finally went to bed very dissatisfied with the whole experience. In the morning, the manager gave us a $75 credit for our stay, but my impression of St. Regis in Houston had been formed hours prior.

Loved the room and the staff very nice! The only thing we heard a dog barking early evening and early morning doors slamming. Bed a bit too soft. Room gorgeous! Loved dancing to the band until the wee hours in your first class bar then being able to take the elevator to our room. Great anniversary! Thank YOU!

Great hotel to stay at and enjoy the fireworks from River Oaks and Downtown during Independence Day Celebration.
Hotel staff friendly and professional by making it possible to enjoy a room with a great view of downtown on short notice.
Loved the breakfast and comfortable beds.
The room was quiet and so peaceful.

The place is very exquisite, and very comfortable . However, the only option for vegetarians is the pasta dish,.Would love to see more options on the menu for some oh us hopping on the 'healthy living while being on the road' bandwagon.

first day, wake up call 2 hrs too early (715 vv915), second day wake up call 5 minutes late, third day toilet not flushing properly and back up in bath tub AND woken by housekeeping 90 minutes before wake up call and again 15 minutes before wake up call

My stay at the St Regis was a little disappointing. My bathroom floor & bath/shower had multiple hairs around it so had not been cleaned well from the last guest. The air conditioning in the room was very loud and woke me up several times during the night when it kicked in. And most disappointing of all, whoever said it first was right, their breakfast pastries truly look like they've been sitting out for days and are not St. Regis standards. Aside from that their staff was friendly & attentive.
