This is the best hotel in all of Florence.
The service is flawless from doorman, to concierge, to front office, room service, butlers, restaurant and the bar manager.
This was for a special occasion and every detail and request was perfect. The room was luxurious, beautiful and spotlessly clean with a wonderful view. The Winter Garden was lavish and the bar manager was the best bartender we have ever had.
The Michelin starred restaurant was a delight and well worth the trip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Skibandit Absolutely wonderful
From the moment we checked in, we were made to feel like valued guest, who has returned 'home' (we had previously stayed here). The conceirge staff, butlers, restaurant service, front desk, bell staff, etc.. were all amazing. We absolutely loved our time there and will not be able to stay anywhere else in Florence. Thank you for the experience.

This hotel is everything a St. Regis should be. From the greeting from the doormen when you arrive to the elegant check in lobby to the wonderful bar and restaurant, to the beautiful rooms and helpful butlers and concierge, it is a great experience. The location in the city is perfect. you can walk to all of the major museums and great restaurants. We stayed 6 nights in October for a birthday celebration and they could not have done a better job. We used suite nights and were upgraded to a Florentine style Junior Suite. My Platinum status might have given us the same upgrade, but I didn't want to take the chance. There was a fine bottle of champagne in our room on our arrival.
We dined in the hotel restaurant the first night. The chef is a superstar in Italy (and a woman) and she was there that night. Eduorado, the maitre d' of the restaurant sat us at the best table in the room. In fact, George Clooney and finance had eaten lunch and sat at the same very private table a few weeks earlier. The dinner was fantastic and the dessert was the best we have ever eaten. In fact, Edouardo brought our Hugo, the young pastry chef to meet us. He is going to be a star in his own right some day. We had started with a glass of prosecco at the bar in advance of dinner and met Andrea, the wonderful bartender. He was very professional yet very friendly and has a great personality. We stopped in every night thereafter to have a drink and visit with him and other hotel guests. He does the champagne sabre ceremony every night.
There was also a young Irish woman intern at the bar named Aoife who was a pleasure to be around as well.
Their lemoncello is served ice cold by the way.
I could go on and on about how great a property this is but the best thing to do is book it and experience a wonderful city in the best way possible. . Sadly, we had exactly the opposite experience at the St. Regis in Rome. I wrote the manager of the Rome hotel and told him to go to Florence and see how it is done.

Rated 5 out of 5 by John2007 Great hotel, great location
The minute we walked into the hotel we knew we had made the right choice and that feeling was proved correct until the time we checked out. Everything was perfect. The staff were all professional, courteous and helpful. The room was magnificent and the bed so comfy we could have slept until noon but the thought of the delicious buffet breakfast awaiting us and the beauty of Florence on the doorstep was enough to drag ourselves up. A lovely touch for us was the "champagne ritual" each evening at 7.00pm. What better than sitting in the exquisite bar area after a tiring day walking around Florence with a glass of champagne and plate of oysters listening to the piano player in the background. Well done St Regis. If we go back to Florence we will definitely choose to stay there again and and I recommend it to all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by AIW74 12 day stay in Florence St Regis
Hotel is conveniently located and service and food in general first class with the single exception of the steak was tough as boots - not recommended.. Minor problems with upgraded room were that although the room was spacious and comfortable the separate shower cabinet was tiny - an arms-up-or-down-only - shower is not relaxing. Other issue was because hotel is adjacent to river Arno the mosquitoes although few in number were rapacious - keep the windows closed. All said and done a relaxing stay with plenty of time to see all of the main Florence attractions.

The hotel is superb. My biggest gripe is that there was no closet or dresser. The hotel required us to improvise wit a rack. Found it very unsettling to have to use supplemental furniture. 6 nights is a long stay for that.
