The Westin Verasa Napa
In honor of the 40th anniversary of the Paris Wine Tasting of 1976, or the Judgment of Paris, La Toque is offering a special flight of current vintages of the most honored wines at the blind tasting. The Judgment of Paris was a wine competition on May 24, 1976 in which French judges conducted two blind tasting comparisons: one of top Chardonnays and the other of Bordeaux vintages from France and Cabernet Sauvignon vintages from California. The top three winners in the red wine category were the #BayArea’s Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars S.L.V. 1973, Ridge Vineyards Monte Bello 1971, and Heitz Cellar Martha’s Vineyard 1970.
For $125, Michelin-starred La Toque will offer 3 oz. pours using the restaurant’s #Coravin wine preservation system of the current vintages from the winners: Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars S.L.V. 2012, Ridge Vineyards Monte Bello 2012 and Heitz Cellar Martha’s Vineyard 2010.
