Named for the Spanish word for desire, deseo serves up a passionate and lively dining experience like no other in Arizona. Gracing the restaurant’s walls is bold, colorful artwork by Nelson Garcia-Miranda, a world-renowned Cuban artist who paints live in the lobby.
Showcasing imaginative Nuevo Latino cuisine, deseo’s menu features a distinctive and skillfully-blended combination of traditional Latin American ingredients and contemporary culinary style that can be perfectly complemented by our South American wine list. Unique, fresh, and flavorful dishes include mouthwatering ceviche, grilled and roasted fish and shellfish, and a selection of meats with tantalizing South American-inspired marinades, sauces, and sides.
On Thursday nights, Chef de Cuisine Roberto Madrid leads our Epicurean Experience with a demonstration of two signature ceviche dishes, paired with a signature muddled drink. Next is a three-course dinner—a salad, an entrée, and a dessert—paired with South American wines at The Rail, a counter that surrounds the exhibition kitchen. Guests can interact with chefs, ask questions, and learn tips to use at home. The cost is 75 USD per person and does not include tax and gratuity. To make a reservation, please call (1)(480) 624-1202 or email email@example.com.
Arizona’s oldest club for women, the recently revamped Nellie Cashman’s Monday Club Café was named for the 19th-century pioneer woman, nurse, and gold prospector known as the “Angel of the Mining Camp.”
Highlighting the dinner menu is Arizona Prime. USDA-graded prime cuts of beef—tenderloin, New York strip, rib-eye, flat-iron, and even a New York strip hamburger—are sourced from select regional ranches and complemented by your choice of two delectable sides. Start your evening with one of our handcrafted cocktails that blend Arizona spirits, local ingredients, and modern interpretations of recipes from the late 1800s.
A Scottish influence is prominent in Brittlebush Bar & Grill’s innovative take on the traditional gastropub experience, in which the high-quality food served is a step above more basic “pub grub.” The culinary efforts of Chef Graeme Blair, a Scotland native and Arizona resident, comprise homeland favorites and family recipes with a modern Arizona twist. The menu has been created with sustainability in mind by using local ingredients and flavors.
Located at the Kierland Golf Club, Brittlebush Bar & Grill is one of several ways The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa honors its Scottish heritage. Immerse yourself in such traditions as our Scottish Pipes at Sunset series, Saturday night Scotch tastings, the Scottish Golf Experience, a themed wedding ceremony package, a bagpiper mascot, and even Scotty, our resident Scottish terrier.
