Alcohol Policy

Alcoholic beverage service is restricted to those 18 years or older with valid identification.

Babysitting/Child Care Policy

Babysitting services can be recommended; however, the hotel is unable to make arrangements on behalf of guests.

Check Cashing Policy

Check cashing services are not available.

Connecting Room Policy

Connecting rooms are available but not guaranteed and need to be requested. Please contact the hotel directly to make these arrangements.

Credit Card Policy

For security reasons, please do not provide credit card details through email. Please either call the toll-free line or use our secure fax number to provide credit card information.

All guests booking a prepaid and non-refundable rate, are required to provide a valid credit card upon check-in to guarantee any incidentals charges incurred during their stay.

Currency Fluctuations

Rates confirmed in USD are guaranteed in U.S. dollars when paid in U.S. cash or traveler's checks. Payments made by credit cards at the hotel will be charged in the local currency equivalent based on the daily exchange rate used by the hotel. Currency conversions by banks or credit card companies in processing payments are not within the control of the hotel and are subject to exchange rate fluctuations.

Early Departure Policy

An early departure fee may be imposed on guests departing prior to their scheduled departure date. Fees may be up to 100% of their confirmed length of stay. Please contact the hotel for further information.

Early Arrival Policy

All requests for early check-in are subject to availability on the day of arrival. The hotel will try to accommodate early check-in requests; however, the use of the health club shower facilities is available if rooms are not available. Check-in is not guaranteed prior to 3pm. In order to guarantee early check-in, the room must be reserved for the night before.

Bicycle Policy

In the interest of safety and security, all bicycles must be stored with the concierge. Bicycles are not permitted in guest elevators and cannot be stored in public areas, guest accommodations, or meeting rooms.

Extra Bedding Policy

Rollaway beds and cribs are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. Rollaway beds are available for a nightly fee in select rooms. Extra beds are not permitted in all suites. Cribs are complimentary. For further information, please contact in-house reservations.

Facility Use Policy

Children under 12 years of age are welcome to join their parents in the Westin Executive Club Lounge during the day. However, children are not allowed in the club lounge during evening service from 6pm to 8pm.

Family Plan Policy

Children who are 12 or younger sleep for free using existing bedding. Rollaway beds are available for a nightly fee and are permitted in select rooms. Cribs are provided on a complimentary basis and are available upon request.The maximum occupancy in all suites is 2 persons and rollaway beds are not permitted.

Gift Certificate Policy

To purchase or redeem a gift certificate, please contact the hotel directly.

ID Requirement

For security purposes, valid photo identification of the guest listed on the reservation is required at check-in. If another guest of the room needs to check in before, please call the hotel or email to add guests to your reservation.

Late Checkout Policy

Standard check-out time is 11am. We are pleased to offer late check-out subject to availability on departure date for an additional fee. For late checkout between 12pm and 5pm, a charge of 50% of the daily room rate will apply. For checkouts after 5pm, the full daily room rate will apply.

Noise/Disturbance Policy

The city of Sydney continues to evolve, enhancing visitors services and experience. Due to the central city location of the hotel, urban design projects may cause minor noise disturbance from time to time.

To ensure quiet stays for all guests, parties are not permitted in guest rooms or suites. A noise complaint will result in an eviction from the hotel without a refund of that night’s charge.

Occupancy Policy

The maximum occupancy for a room with two double beds is four people using existing bedding.

The maximum occupancy in all suites is two people with 1 king bed.

Photography Policy

Only in-house guests may apply for photography on the Grand Staircase, subject to availability. If approved, a fee of $250 AUD per hour applies (exceptions are granted for wedding events held at the hotel).

Pet Policy

Pets are not allowed. Only service animals are allowed; however, prior arrangement will need to be made. For assistance, please contact the hotel directly.

Payment Policy

Guests paying in cash will be asked to pay full accommodation rates plus $300 AUD bond per day for incidentals. The unused portion of the bond will be refunded at checkout. A pre-authorisation will be held for the accommodation plus 40% of the rate for incidentals when guests pay with credit card.

Safety/Security Policy

In accordance with the Workplace Surveillance Act 2005 and the Telecommunications (Interception and Access) Act 1979, closed-circuit television operates continuously within the hotel, including public areas, event spaces, corridors, and elevators. Phones calls to and from the hotel may also be monitored for quality and training purposes. Please refer to Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc Online Privacy Statement with relation to data collection.

Smoking Policy

The Westin Sydney is 100% smoke-free including all public areas and guest rooms. Guests will be charged a 300 AUD cleaning fee if evidence of smoking is found in their guest room.
