Rated 4 out of 5 by Bkbroome Non remodeled bathroom
I've stayed in this hotel many times and am a Platinum SPG member. I like the facilities and the proximity to LAX airport. The restaurant, bar, fitness center and pool are fine.
As a Platinum SPG, I've been upgraded to some nice rooms over the years including rooms with a terrace. Even without the upgrades the rooms are basic aging Westin standard rooms. Great beds, worn furniture. This time, my bathroom was an unremodeled surprise! A ceramic scalloped sink. Old brass taps, brass TP covers and a ceramic shower temp guide platel. Hello 1970!
I like this hotel overall, but they need to invest a bit in the rooms. We shouldn't see the wear and tear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by KarenD PLANE MISHAP - HOTEL WAS GREAT
Having a plane mishap from Philly to Phoenix, the closest I could get was LAX for the evening.
Arrived at the Westin at 1am via shuttle, with nothing but the clothes on my back. The staff provided, toothbrush, toothpaste, comb and deodorant to my room within 5 minutes of calling - excellent service!!
The airport shuttle was very convenient, running every 20 minutes or so, as I had to turn around and catch a 6:30am flight the next morning into Phoenix.
Thank you for your help, after a trying evening.

Rated 4 out of 5 by VeryGoodPointsStacey Perfect LAX Location
The Westin LAX is my go-to stop over hotel whenever I'm traveling through LA. I will always stay at the Westin when I have an International flight that requires an overnight in LA or even when I'm in business on LA with an early morning flight out.
The location is perfect and the shuttle to/from the airport is convenient.
Nine out of 10 times I get an upgraded room as a Platinum member - though it's usually not needed for quick overnights. The hotel is always busy and you have to complete with airline crews for space on the shuttles. The hotel finally moved crew check-in away from preferred guest check-in. A very wise move.
The rooms are large and comfortable. There are plenty of outlets - which makes working from the hotel easy.
The food is less than fair - bordering on bad. That's the only real negative for the hotel. But that won't keep me from staying.
I highly recommend the Westin LAX

Rated 5 out of 5 by Javiervera4 Amazing hotel in the LAX area.
The location of the Westin LAX hotel is perfect, the Daily Grill has a great happy hour (the servers are spot on with the drinks) Brian and Roy the front desk operators went out of their way to make my check in quick and easy. Tim McDonald the Service Express Manager made my stay possible, Tim made sure I had a room at the best rate in the entire LAX area. Tim also made sure I was welcomed by the staff. Because of this great service I will tell all my out of town friends, family and business colleagues to stay at the Westin LAX... Thank you for an amazing experience!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Jdwyvr Westin team falls short - No means No
NO means NO
Booked into Westin Executive King, was told NO lounge closed, upgrade here means 12th floor, room is same as any other. Given a $6.50 voucher for Continental Breakfast, was told NO to oatmeal [$4.50], only danish and coffee covered under that coupon [ though nowhere indicated] . Front Desk team member refused change a $100.00 and made no effort, rather snickered with her counterpart. Asked for bellman to assist with luggage again NO, nobody available at 0800am. Having stayed here a dozen times - a suite upgrade upgrade request is always met with a firm NO availability. This hotel is consistently CLEAN, however, the staff are far from YES people, rarely escalating a guest request to a supervisor - My hard earned $$$ deserves more attention elsewhere

Rated 4 out of 5 by FrequentFlyerGuy Decent, but not great
Standard Westin. Nice quality rooms and good beds. Very few suites, so don't plan on an upgrade. The desk is lightly staffed at night, so be sure to be first off the airport shuttle or be in for a wait at check in.
The airport shuttle on the way to LAX is shared with the Four Points, the next stop, so it can take up to 30 minutes (like it did for me) from boarding the bus to the United check-in kiosk.
The club lounge has a limited offering of runny eggs and oatmeal. Disappointing.
