The front desk area is slow, non-caring and you just feel like why did you decide in staying at the Westin in KC. Its a shame that the front desk does not make the guest feel welcomed.

Booked hotel on a busy weekend so I assumed it would be busy. However front desk was constantly understaffed 1 to 2 workers with a line of 10 to 20 people. Asked for a king bed got 2 double beds they claimed I had requested two doubles. Hotel furniture is dated I think the refrigerator was older than me. Only thing that net expectations was the valet polite and quick. But the hotel managed to throw a wrench in that was charged for self park and valet parking. Also for the cost wifi at $10 for a night no thanks that's usually free. I opted not to use their wifi signal showed really weak. In the end Hotel was overall weak and needs help...

Thanks to everyone for making our 5th Anniversary so special. From parking attendants, bellmen, front desk, housekeeping to room service. All were prompt and courteous. Thank you for the upgrade to the corner suite with view of the Liberty Memorial (site of our engagement). And what a special touch to send a bottle of champagne up to our room. Bravo!

Got in late due to delayed flight, staff at the desk were not overly friendly. Club access wasn’t applied to key-card, even though Club room was just down the hall, and it was part of my rate. Huge line in the morning to get that sorted out.
Parking is less than clearly marked, wound up going out a door somewhere else in the complex, gate agent was kind enough to let me out, since parking was on the hotel bill.
On second day Club room was closed, but door was locked from the inside and no note on the door.
Keycard failed on 3rd day, given new key, but guess what, no Club room access again.
Pizza place in the attached mall is good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by micindy Excellent hotel and staff
We absolutely enjoyed everything about our stay! The staff treats you like you are the most important person they will see all day. The rooms are so spacious and comfortable, especially the bed! It wraps you in comfort and luxury and you may sleep better than at home. I personally loved the rainfall shower! We will certainly return here and recommend it to everyone who is looking for a great place to stay in downtown Kansas City.

We were in a king park corner room 1642 door opened into a wall door should have open from the other side into the hallway of the room. We ask for info on local resturants and things to do. The SPG desk could not answer the questions we asked. The irish fest was across the street from hotel and madegetting into the drive alittle tricky.

I reserved a room at this hotel for 1 night for my DIL and the grandchildren. I was able to check in early and I really appreciate that gesture. I also requested a corner room facing downtown and was lucky enough that here was one available. Although I live in Kansas City, I have stayed at this property several times. As I was preparing to leave for the night I tried to call the desk to order more towels. The in-room phone did not work so I used my Cellphone. I called twice and was told that there was no Operator available at this time. I though that this was very odd because I have worked at this property and know that if the Operator has to step out that all calls are routed to the front desk. I stopped by the front desk on my way out about 11 pm and spoke with the Clerk about not being able to reach someone. She told me that they were very busy and she will have towels sent to the room. When I arrived the next day my DIL told me that nobody delivered the towels. My DIL is deaf and would have had to go through the relay operator just to speak to the hotel staff. Also, I was a little taken back on the appearance of the bed skirt. I was very unattractive because it looked like it was dug out of a hamper. I have stayed in many hotels and never seen bedding look that bed. I assume I should at least have linen that is presentable. My other issue was that there was a large yellow stain on the toilet. I tried to clean with no avail. Upon check out I asked to speak to the Manager and was told that he was not available. On a more happier note I was trilled to see Tall Paul who has been the doorman for over 40 years. Although this stay was not the best for my family I will still stay a customer. The location is great, the staff is courteous and the rooms are clean.
