Rated 5 out of 5 by One of the best in Taipei I've stayed here numerous times, and this hotel has never let me down as a P member. The upgraded room is always there waiting for me, which is very rare at any hotels, other than this one and the Sheraton in Taipei (P members receive upgraded rooms almost 100% of the times, at least for me). Free parking on this site is the best feature, as it costs quite a lot to park in Taipei, it could be over $50/day! The lounge is great, but they are very strict on who you could bring, or whether you are booked under one or two people, which is rare in Taipei. But this is no bother for me as I usually stay by myself anyway. July 19, 2016

Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Stay As a long time Sheraton patron, I tried The W Taipei as a change. It was FANTASTIC. A special thanks to Bond at Concierge who from arriving spent the time to introduce himself, help me to my room and give me daily local knowledge on eating out - Thank you. Also to Davie - Thank you for taking the time to make us feel special :) May 1, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Worst Check-in Experience Ever I was traveling with 4 of my team members from Shanghai to Taipei and chose Westin to stay given I am a long-time SPG member and love the location of the hotel. Surprisingly I had the WORST check-in service ever. When I checked in, the front desk staff tried to sell me an upgrade package of NTD2,500 with breakfast and executive lounge access, I told her no and in front of my team, I said we will be busy meeting clients and won't be able to enjoy the upgraded service and even breakfast. Then, the front desk staff kept hard-selling to my coworkers one-by-one. Even worse thing was during one of my coworkers checking in, she was informed that her room is not ready yet (we checked in at 14:55), and told if she was willing to pay NT500 more per night, she will get a room right away. I saw that and jumped in to ask to talk to the Front Desk Manager...one gentleman came over and without even looking at me, he was typing the computer and kept quiet..... This is a big shocking experience, and all the front desk staff didn't smile at all during the whole process. I told them the I am shamed because I picked the hotel, and I was born in Taiwan..... Could you please look into this? And I would really appreciated someone can tell me what went wrong with my favorite hotel brand. April 13, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Taipei excellence Truly a great stay- hospitality throughout, nice gym, excellent indoor lap pool. Nice, clean, fresh suite oriented to work with a printer/fax, workspace and plenty of places to plugin everything that needs charging. Breakfast buffet was excellent in both food/prep quality and variety. Executive lounge is first rate, good snacks and lite breakfast nice conference rooms for business mtgs and excellent service from the staffers. Staff throughout the hotel was consistent in attention to detail and very service oriented, even a bellman on the elevator spotted me carrying my laundry bag down to the front desk and simply offered to take it for me. Made my week in Taipei easy and a pleasure in every way. March 7, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by weekend break in Taipei Great SPG recognition. Was upgraded to a suite upon check-in. The cocktail hour at the exec lounge should not be missed and the quality of food served there was very impressive compared to other SPG exec lounges around the world. The location of this hotel may not be the most central, however it's a breeze to get a cab in Taipei. January 5, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good location and facilities..a bit on the pricey side The hotel is located in a very convenient location, near to MRT stations and also near shops around the Zhongxiao Fuxing area. The rooms are decent sized with separate shower/bath facilities and the bed was very comfortable. Only gripe I have is that it is a bit on the pricey side but I suppose you pay for the little comforts in life.. December 31, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Up Selling like crazy Keep up selling at every steps. No respect/recognition of SPG status at all. Horrible management December 26, 2015
