Stayed over Christmas. Views from our room amazing. Renee in the bar and all the staff at reception amazing.
Food in the Aqua restaurant is delicious.
Sitting on the hotel beach was very relaxing. The only con to this hotel is the proximity to SR60 where traffic can be noisy at times.
Very close to Tampa airport and shuttle is great.
We treated ourselves to a Christmas away from the ice up north and could not be happier with our stay at the Westin Tampa!!

My wife and I stayed at this Westin this past weekend, and also stayed 1 year ago. The hotel and staff are excellent. The rooms are well appointed, very clean and comfortable. The staff really aims to please. If you venture into the restaurant, I would recommend you visit the bar only. The bartenders are very personable, and the night we stayed there was live music. The restaurant is in dire need of better management. One of our dinners had to be sent back because the pasta was undercooked and stuck together. The next morning, we could not be seated for breakfast at 9:45am for 20 MINUTES because they "didn't have enough staff." My wife's breakfast finally arrived and it was not what she ordered. No apology, no reduction of the check. We had similar issues on our previous stay. Bottom line: GREAT HOTEL, GREAT BAR, LOUSY RESTAURANT. Go to Chart House across the street.

Definetly a great addition to the Westin brand.
From the time I arrived the staff demonstrated a high level of efficiency, professionalism and above all friendliness. I felt welcome and attended to.
The room was nicely sized and well appointed. Plenty of outlets for gadgets and a great interface for the HD tv. The requisite Westin bed of course makes for a nice sleep. The view, was beyond compare. Looking out across the bay to downtownTampa and St Petersburg.
An additional benefit is the in house restaurant, Aqua. The chef puts out a consistently well prepared and presented product. The staff is attentive and friendly. During my 4 week stay, I had the chance to sample many menu items and did not find anything I didn't like. The beef carpaccio is AMAZING.
Overall, the hotel made a long stay away from home more tolerable. i felt well cared for and comfortabe. There is nowhere i would rather stay.

Everyone at the Westin Tampa Bay was so friendly and accommodating. From the minute we arrived until we left the staff did everything they could to make our stay a great experience. From opening the doors for us, to serving us lunch, to handling our conference, to checking us out, we have never been treated so nicely at a hotel.

!st I asked what the lowest price was for double bed room. I was advised was more at the hotel than what was on the website. I was advised would need to get room online. REALLY! Then I was given a adjoining room. These rooms connecting rooms lack the privacy. We heard the neighbors next door. They were very loud we had to put on the TV to drown out the sound. It was 1 am when we called the service desk we finally thought they were quiet and we heard them in the throws of passion shortly after Then they were very loud again this lasted for hours and late at night. If I had children I would have been embarrassed. I was moved after complaining at least 2x and insisted on being moved. I could of stayed home with the noise. Came for a break and to get away from the noise. The next issue was the room has sensors for the air conditioners and apparently we did not move enough at night was extremely hot.
The staff to get car and take us where we wanted to go were very helpful! Not what I expected going to the Westin.... I was disappointed!

From the moment I checked in to the moment I checked out the staff "were there for any comfort I needed". They acknowledged me by name when they met me. The food served during the conference, evening meal and breakfast was perfect. Next time I'm in this area, I will certainly stay at this outstanding hotel!

the hotel is green; which is great, however, not being able to control the temp in your is not ggod; it was a 100 % humidity and 90s and the room was on a sensor so unless you were in the area of the sensor no AC and at night awful
staff was not overly friendly or accomadting

My husband and I are super picky. The hotel has to be very clean and well kept. This place was gorgeous. Our king room had a separate tub and shower which I love. We had a great view and the staff were so helpful. We are going to stay here every time we come to Tampa to watch the Rays games!

Room service breakfast yielded a carafe of coffee with no coffee in it the carafe. The cream accompanying the coffee poured out with the consistency of cottage cheese. Horrible. Fortunately, there's a Starbucks in the lobby.

I stay at this hotel frequently, about 130 nights in 2012. But this visit was not good. Not due to staff(the best), not facilities and room (always quality). The issue was my neighbor. She seemed to be having a party. Sounded as they were in my room and there were 5-6 people in there at a time after even 11:30 and I had a 5:50am flight. Called front desk twice and they reacted but it didn't help. I decided sleep wasn't an option and watched tv all night and awaited my flight. The issue is the rooms with adjoining rooms and a door in between. It is miserable when you have some one next door that is moderately loud. Doesn't need to be yelling or screaming. I have heard whole conversations, phone calls laughter, and the obvious that happens between lovers in a beautiful hotel(3times last year alone). It just seems that the hotel should look at a way to handle the noise insulation in some way.
I love this hotel and its staff. I know them and they know me. They are great.

With some flight issues at hand they were very flexible with my check out and when I was delayed even longer they set me up to be very comfortable and made a difficult situation tolerable - they were all my hero! Thanks. Very enjoyable and accomodating!

Second time staying at the Westin Tampa Bay. Very nice hotel, very comfortable rooms, very clean, all the amenities anyone would want and just a wonderful, friendly staff. I will stay there again and continue to recommend it to friends and colleagues.

Located close to airport and close to beaches. Great location. Several great restaurants in walking distance. Hotel restaurant is fabulous also. And they have a Starbucks in the hotel lobby. Nice beach area to relax.

This hotel is great! It has the best location - between Downtown Tampa and Clearwater. I love that they have a restaurant and Starbucks on property, self parking, and the hotel smells relaxing!!!

I held my mother's surprise 65th birthday party at the Westin Tampa Bay. Swathi and Lydia assisted my planning of every detail; they even helped me with keeping things under wraps from my mom---which was a difficult task. At the event, Alberto and his team (butlers and bartender) carried out everything perfectly and smoothly. Our guests were so impressed and had an awesome time at the party. My mom was extremely surprised and could not have had a better birthday. Several of our guests stayed the night in the hotel, and the rooms were a perfect compliment to the whole event---clean, beautifully decorated, and spacious. Dayana was extremely accommodating by ensuring we all had the right rooms since we had a number of them reserved. I can not say enough about how pleased I am with the hotel and the staff. I would definitely recommend this hotel for both overnight stays and event services. I will be staying there again and I will recommend the Westin to everyone I know. The hotel is impeccable and the staff goes above and beyond. Thank you so much for making my mom's birthday so memorable and classy!

The room had an excellent view of the Bay and the bed and two-headed shower were awesome. The restaurant, Aqua, was quite good and reasonably priced - a pleasant surprise for a hotel these days. The rooftop conference space was perfect for our small group and had killer views. The "beach" and pool (only indoor) were a big disappointment. Promo materials certainly made them look four star instead of the reality which was closer to 2 stars. All in all, since I was there for a workshop it was perfect for my needs but if I were to return to Tampa for personal travel I would most likely choose a hotel with better entertainment amenities and free Wifi!

Most of the staff was friendly. However, the hostess in the Club Lounge on Thursday morning Nov 14th was not. When I enterly the lounge for the complimentary continental breakfast, she came over and said very sharly "Sign In!", not good morning, would you please sign in? A few minutes later when I asked her to wipe down the soiled table so that I could use it, she said tersely "In a minute!"
Also, the quantity and quality of breakfast items in the Club room left a lot to be desired. I am a Platinum guest and it is the smallest amount of breakfast items that I have seen at a Westin Club continental breakfast. There was little fruit and there were only 4 pastries that were put out for guests.

I have stayed at this hotel about 10 times in the last 9 months. I am a Platinum member and have never before written a review. Your decision to let the cook leave early and shut down room service early Thursday evening ruined my night. I checked twice with the front desk earlier in the evening as to when the all day menu would be available. I had planned on working all night in my room and eating a late dinner while I worked. When I called to order I was told that due to a problem the all day menu was no longer available. When I pressed the operator about the problem he told me the cook left early because it was slow. I stay at a full-service hotel like a Westin to get services like room service. I could stayed elsewhere if I wanted limited service. I was tired, angry and hungry. It was too late for me to go out and get something, which I would have done if I had not been assured twice that I could order off the regular room service menu until 12. I have never encountered this type of behavior in a nice hotel. Nowhere is it stated that certain services at a hotel will no longer be offered if it is slow. Whatever happened to the guests coming first? I did ask for the night manager but he decided to go home early too. There so few things I count on in a hotel and it is clear that this hotel is not dependable for a business traveller.

This is my top choice for a hotel by the airport in Tampa. Nice new building, very modern, clean, great rooms/Westin beds, good soundproofing, and has everything you might need. Professional Service. Concierge Lounge on 15th Floor, indoor swimming pool and health club, a "real" Starbucks store in the lobby... even a little beach if you need some extra rays before your flight! Professional, friendly service. They have a shuttle service that leaves the hotel at the top of the hour that will drop off at the myriad of top restaurants nearby... so if you don't have a car, book your dinner reservations at 15 past the hour you want to go and you'll be all set.

I was overcharged day after day even after we left and checked out. I am currently having to deal with our bank and now we dont even have money for Christmas!! The front lobby supervisor dint even offer an upgrade or anything.

I use this hotel all the time when I go to Tampa...I was a late arrival..reached the hotel at 1AM..and I am a SPG preferred guest...however I think I was given the worst room in the hotel..it bearly had a window. I was told that the hotel is full and that is all is left...I made my reservations well in advance...and would have expected them to hold a good room for me. Very disappointed that they just left me to the last room which was barely OK.
