Rated 3 out of 5 by Charged Twice and thin walls I was charged twice for my room. I was charged at check in and at check out. So I paid for the room two times instead of just the one time I should have. The service express line was always busy as well. The walls were a bit too thin as well and sound carries through the vents and you can everything someone is saying through them. It was enjoyable though and the bed was comfortable, but I do not like getting charged twice for a room. That would be the main reason I would not stay at this hotel or any other with the same same again. July 22, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Horrible check-in experience This is the third time I've stayed at this hotel in the last eight months; and the only bad experience. The night I was scheduled to check-in, I called to advise that I would not be at the hotel until 6 am the next morning....hoping to avoid any issues. When I arrived at 6 am, the only room that had been saved was two double beds, instead of the king which I had reserved over a month previous to my check-in. I would think that a month prior, and being a Gold member would be enough. On top on that, the young lady who checked me in was surly and did not seem to care that I was unhappy. She was rude when I queried about my Gold number being on file. I didn't get her name, but I checked in at 6 am on 18 June....I can't image there were too many folks on duty. She definitely needs re-training in customer service; and your hotel staff needs to prioritize who gets their "reserved" room, when you overbook. June 22, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great place, dirty room The place was great. Food was great, service great, the room was dirty! We moved the chair and table around and there was all kinds of food and a water bottle under it. Then we decided to peek under the bed before we left to make sure we didn't leave anything and again a bunch of trash underneath. We opened the blinds in the morning and there was a whole pack of gushers on the floor. We only stayed one night so we didn't want to complain but I'm sure if we would have mentioned it they would have taken care of it. Over all our stay was great and we will come again. May 11, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by This hotel made serious errors. We were getting dressed one morning at 10:00 to go out for the day and our door opened and a man I've never seen comes in with his luggage. We were not completely dressed. He had checked in downstairs and someone at the front desk checked him into our room. He excused himself and left. We finished getting ready and met friends for lunch. When we returned our room key would not work. A nice lady from housekeeping let us in our room. I went down to the front desk and asked for a supervisor or manager. I told her about the unexpected stranger that came in our room. She said "yeah we heard about that". Then I asked why our room key would not work and she did not know. I never heard " we apologize, we're sorry for the inconvenience, is there anything we can do to make this better". I travel several days each month and have never had an experience like this. I will avoid Westin Hotels in the future. May 4, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Lovely visit / Problem after My cousin and I met at the Westin in Huntsville for a girls night out this past weekend and had a wonderful time. Our room was lovely, overlooking the pond and Bridge Street, and the beds and pillows oh so comfortable. We had a yummy breakfast as part of our Westin Weekend plan. The people who helped us check in and out were great. However, sadly, we left our coats in the closet of our room. We realized it when we got home and called the hotel the next morning. They promised to return our call within 24 hours. We never heard from anyone and called again. They asked us to leave a message for the head of housekeeping yesterday. So far we still haven't heard from them. So sad about our coats :( If we get our coats back, it will have been a great weekend. April 22, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Second Chance My family and I stayed here a few years ago and had a miserable experience starting with the friendliness of the staff to the cleanliness of the room. While the friendliness of the staff has improved the rooms are still a long way from being clean. There was trash left in the trash can, copious amount's of dust (especially in areas behind furnishings and fixtures), a substantial amount of calcium / lime build up on the shower head, and discolored (mold?) tile grout in the shower Another issue that we had forgotten since our last stay was the room doors are very loud, which is why this review is being written at 3:30am.
