Rated 3 out of 5 by Quality Decline We enjoy the Westin in Alexandria but its amenities have clearly declined over the past year since our last stay. The staff remains superb and attentive and did all they could to help us. But in room 572, the air conditioning failed on two warm nights in succession, the toilet had a leak that spread water on the floor (not a lot but enough to step in) and we ended up with a new "ding" in our car after parking there for 3 nights. The halls were never vacuumed inasmuch as we saw the same small plastic container top next to a room for the full 3 days we were there. In the men's locker room within the exercise facility, the automatic and manual flushing system had failed leaving the urinal in a disgusting condition. The parking guys claimed we must have created the "ding" despite the fact we had not driven the car since its arrival. So this is just a note to say that this is a hotel with nice appointments, amenities and great staff....but it is a very noticeable step down in quality from our previous visits. June 8, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Girls Weekend Our 3rd time (and my 4th time) staying at the Westin Alexandria. This place is a home run. Close to Metro. Love the neighborhood. Hotel always looks great...rooms, lobby, restaurant. Friendly staff. Lunch was excellent and Jennifer G took great care of us. Cannot wait to return. June 7, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Staff needs retraining. Nice facility Staff was not welcoming as normal with this property. Very surprising and unexpected. Room quality and location were fine. Parking fee is twenty percent too high. Beautiful lobby. Watch out for the very limited pool hours. I learned after it was too late. Restaurant was too pricey, so we ate elsewhere. Good place for a business meeting where you are getting reimbursed. Not family friendly. June 2, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by No morning coffee My husband really looks forward to his morning coffee. However, when he tried to use the in-room coffee maker (in various electrical outlets) we realized that it was broken. Upon checkout, I was surprised that the clerk did not ask how our stay was. So I told her our coffee maker was broken. She hardly acknowledge it. Also, I was very surprised that she did not offer us a complimentary coffee considering they have 'Get your daily coffee fix from Starbucks, conveniently located on property.' right in the lobby! I think that that is very poor service for a hotel that likes to be thought of as 'high end'. May 31, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Finally, the Perfect business Hotel!!!! I had meetings in Alexandria and this hotel popped up on my search for a place to stay. I cannot say how happy I was with my stay. To start the stay off, I was not excited to be traveling on my Birthday, That said, the front desk went out of their way to wish me a Happy Birthday and even offered dinner in the restaurant that night. I already had plans but it was an extremely nice gesture. The rooms were very nice as well, newer Westin rooms which I do like. Three very important things stand out to me. First, one of my big pet peeves when staying in a hotel is the lack of outlets and places to charge my devices without have to move furniture and unplug lamps and such. In this room there were 11, that's right 11, places to easily plug in one of the six devices that I travel with to charge, There were 5 on the desk and three each on the two night stands! I LOVE this!!! Second, the Internet speed and connect-ability was excellent at this location. Third, the shower head water pressure was some of the best I have ever had in a hotel. You combine all the above with the excellent service and the convenient location to other great food, businesses and places to be you have a 5-star hotel in my book!!! Can't wait until I get to go back. Highly recommended!!! May 17, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Hotel, Great Staff Hotel is refreshing, clean and relatively new. I got upgraded to a junior suite, which was quite spacious. The club lounge was closed, but the front desk gave me vouchers for use at the restaurant or Starbucks. Staff are great - extremely friendly and helpful. I got takeout at the onsite restaurant, which has tasty food. Only slight drawback is the location, which is a bit removed from the central part of Alexandria (King Street), but the hotel does have a shuttle. Also, DC is a short Uber ride away. April 27, 2016

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great location Stayed here for a conference. Very nice location, close to old town of Alexandria, nice shops and great restaurants. Easier to get a cab or Uber ride back and forth than walk, unless in daytime. Got in late the first night and was placed in a room with a non-functioning safety box, subway train heard at early hours and clogged bathroom sink with hairball. After complaining to front desk, the manager was extremely helpful and changed my room promptly so I was in time for my morning conference. Greatly appreciated and saved the trip. January 20, 2016
