Rated 1 out of 5 by BruceColorado This is not a Cat 6 Resort
If you plan on staying at this hotel and expect it to be a Cat 6 resort, you will be disappointed. The level of service is lacking and not up to the level of a Cat 6 resort. Staff is not friendly and they do not give any recognition to Starwood status or loyalty to the hotel.

Unfortunately, we have scheduled 11 nights this winter to stay at the Westin. We have been loyal customers for years and often stay 15-20 nights a year, but they couldn't care less. They are getting too big for their britches. I wish we could switch to Vail but we are stuck going there all season. Be aware!

What a surprise. Came in as a guest for a Memorial Day destination wedding and found a wonderful spot in the mountains.
Great location, great views and wonderful facilities. Unexpected Platinum upgrade to a 1 bedroom Suite with full kitchen, living room and dining room. Wish we could have extended our stay to a full week.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lovedit25 Amazing hotel in perfect location
Absolutely perfect location next to Eagle River! For summer activities, staying in Avon was more convenient than staying in Beaver Creek proper, and even in Winter, this would be perfect with on-site Gondola access to the slopes. Amenties are top-notch, and the gym/fitness area is the best I've seen at a hotel. Beds are very comfortable, and the sleeper sofa is convenient if needed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by JuJu61 No more heavenly bed
We stay in Westin hotels every year using our SPG points. For some reason the heavenly bed is no longer heavenly. The bed was so hard that I had trouble sleeping. Also would have liked a fan in the room. The room needs a ceiling fan to circulate air, even in the winter. I am just wondering if Westin has changed their bed system from last year. We also noticed the bed changed in our timeshare villa in Maui. Not sure why they would change a good thing.

Rated 2 out of 5 by LauraMae The service was horrible
My husband & I arrived on Friday evening.I was asked while booking if there was a special reason we we were coming, and I told them it was my husband's birthday. When we arrived, there was no acknowledgement of the event. We spent 45,000 points for 2 nights, the room was small and was very noisy, especially at 1am. After arriving, we went out onto the patio for a drink and a bite to eat- we needed to ask the waitress 2X for service... We finally got our drinks and a cheese board an hour later. When I spoke to the manager the next day, she apologized and brought my husband a bottle of sparkling wine and asked us what time our dinner reservation was and told us a nice surprise would be waiting for us when we got back- which there was not. As with the waitress from Friday night- the follow- through was horrible. This was the first time we used our points for a hotel and were very disappointed. To spend so many points for a weekend was disheartening. Thank God Beaver Creek and Vail were beautiful enough so we didn't dwell on our "sad" accommodations !

Rated 2 out of 5 by Jim2016 Below expectations
Common spaces were much nicer than the rooms. Our room was small, cramped and very loud. Despite our Gold status we were given a poor room location with an adjoining door, questionable mountain view and no balcony. Even though our reservation indicated an infant requiring a crib, the crib was not present on check-in and a chair had to be removed to make room for the crib.

Staff is below average. Facility is strong.
Concierges were usually not to be found, but if found, behaved as if we were intruding on them.
