Rated 4 out of 5 by Great location The hotel was fantastic, but the food was painfully overpriced for what you got. Spent more time over at wildwood, the atmosphere was much more casual. I realize they just spent millions redoing this facility? But they should have made it a little warmer. The entrance is so bright...enough with the LED lights and Fluorescents. Rooms were cozy and comfy. No place to just hang out besides fluorescentville. Lower bar, stopped in around 9:30 and the bartender said we were the first patrons all night. Maybe because its not welcoming for skiers, but rather waiting for some suits to show up? Not going to happen. Lose the ties, and the grandma uniforms for the poor young girls at check in. It's Aspen for crying out loud. The concierge was more concerned gossiping with the locals than paying attention we almost Waite 15 minutes to ask a simple question before we left and asked one of the bellhops. Thumbs up to the chef, he came out and chatted, only because I think he had nothing better to do since his restaurant was dead. Bought us a yummy desert. DELISH!!! February 9, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Delayed Honeymoon My husband and myself were taking a delayed honeymoon to Aspen and stayed at the Westin Snowmass Village. Upon check-in we were greeted by a delightful front desk agent Zach Reed! My husband and I had traveled from Denver, which was a long snowy drive. We arrived at the Westin in the evening and we were both very tired. Zach was very personable and had asked us if this was our first time to Aspen? I told Zach yes this is our first visit to Aspen and we were visiting to celebrate our delayed honeymoon. Zach was very helpful and congratulated us on getting married and gave us a lot of information about the property, restaurants and ski information. Later that evening we hear a knock at the door and to our surprise there was room service with a bottle of champagne and a lava cake with a card. Zach had sent us the surprise champagne and cake to celebrate our honeymoon. We were so impressed and surprised by the gesture that we can't wait to come back to the Westin at Snowmass Village! Zach Reed really is a true asset to your company and his attention to detail and his high level of customer service! We were very impressed!!! My husband and I got married at the Westin Mission Hills in Rancho Mirage, CA in 2013 and had a delightful experience! We continue to be impressed with Westin properties especially how well they treat same gay couples! January 17, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not your normal Westin facility The area and views from the hotel are good, but that is where good lets off. Rooms are a little strangely configured and cleanliness not up to par. Food at the hotel is seriously in need of an overview. Very, very slow service. July 22, 2013

From Alex in reservations to Celeste in the concierge, everyone at the Westin Snowmass was so incredibly helpful in executing the perfect engagement night celebration for our stay there this past weekend. They went out of their way to make sure everything was just right, and called me to keep me updated on the status of various little requests to assure me it was all going off without a hitch. When the florist was closed on Sunday, the concierge literally had someone pick up flowers on their way into work! I felt totally confident that the final product would be perfect, and it was. The room was so well done-- rose petals leading into the room from the door and all over the bed, champagne on ice, chocolate covered strawberries-- they even drew a little heart in the snow on the balcony! We had a great view of the slopes, and the food was great when we ordered room service for dinner and breakfast. Also, the cider and cookies by the fire in the lobby for apres ski made the hotel feel so warm and cozy. The hotel and our room were clean and modern, great design. Every staff member I interacted with was so friendly and helpful-- from the bellman, to the valet, to the room service waiters. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect experience for our special night. My fiancee was so happy. Thank you so much. We will surely be back :) January 7, 2014

Rated 1 out of 5 by Don't Stay Here! We had a room in a horrible location which took several elevators to get to. We tried to change it after having stayed at the hotel before it was a Westin for many years, but apparently, they couldn't find anything else. The fact that the room was not made up until almost 5 p.m. and then was never really cleaned or replenished was unsatisfactory. I left a few pieces of dirt there for the days we were there and they stayed on both the carpet and the floor. The Internet is horrible. Yes, they took the resort fee off, but it doesn't help when you are trying to do some business online. The business center is a joke. It's a closet. The heater makes noise and woke us up nightly. Even the new ski valet location had long lines. We saw people bringing their ski equipment to their rooms rather than stand in lines to get it. They want you to go green and re-use towels which would be fine if they had put more than one towel rack in the room. The most irritating thing is that the staff seemed so overwhelmed that they were not helpful. Comments like, "well, it's a busy weekend, so we can't get rooms cleaned." Totally unsatisfactory! Rated 3 out of 5 by nice with some shortcomings Bellman - fast service, cordial, accommodating Check-in - only two desks staffed during prime check-in time. once started, the check-in process was quick. room was cleaned and needed inspection which took about 10 minutes. Room - only one towel bar in bathroom. plenty of door and wall space for additional towel bar & robe/swimsuit hooks. closet only had about a 1.5' rod to hang clothes and drawers were equally small width-wise. reading lights mounted in headboard were great. TV remote often stopped working though we downloaded an iPad app from lodgenet that controlled the tv and worked fine. in order to get an on-line tv guide, you have to pay $0.99! heating controls barely adjusted the temperature but fortunately we had a sliding door. lots of hallway noise. jacuzzi - towels were only stocked at the main elevator and not the other access points. exterior - most of the lights in the steps leading from the 4th floor to the mall are out and the steps are crumbling apart. ski valet - friendly and courteous. should be able to call down to have skis placed outside on rack. wheeled ski racks should be moved closer to the slopes.
